When we decides to go to this, we thought we would just quickly visit and see why this was #4 on the list. Luckily we got there for the tour. Wow! This was really great. The art and architecture is so unique and eye catching. The history was interesting. I loved the old elevator. What a beautiful courtyard as well. Great tour!

My hubby and I spent about an hour here. There is amazing architectural detail. We have been in other big city libraries and I really loved the classic feel of this one. There was one room that gave me slight Hogwarts’ vibes. There are a few gorgeous halls on the second and third floors. Well worth the time!

the staff in the computer room is somewhat hostile and rude. it is an ongoing problem for all of us. however, the books are great. there has certainly been a lot of time to acquire books. like a lot of places in boston, it is OLD.

I don't typically visit libraries on trips, but this library is gorgeous. They have a stunning courtyard and fountain - the building is very old, and well-maintained. They have a beautiful tea room that I hoped to go to, but FYI, even though it closes at 4:45, they will not seat you after 3:00 (which appears nowhere on their website...). It was still so pretty though that I won't downgrade them for it.
