Mack and Quack was our guide and he was wonderful! He was very entertaining and very knowledgeable about the City and it's history. Would highly recommend the duck tour to everyone!

Our guide kept us laughing and engaged; the tour gives you a quick overview of Boston history; kids enjoy it because you are constantly moving, the novelty of driving on land and straight into the water. They allow the kids to drive while in the water which seals the deal.

We booked a Duck Tour while in Boston for the 4th of July. A morning rain was a little off-putting, but it stopped just as the tour began. We were early for our scheduked departure and they let us board an earlier tour. I grew up just outside of Boston, but had not seen many of the changes in the past 20 years, especially in the area closer to the harbor. The driver was entertaining and carried on an informative dialogue with passengers, especially the kids. I used to drive these vehicles in the Army 55 years ago, so it was a treat for me. Streets in the financial district were blocked off for a ceremony at Fanueil Hall, but the driver extended our time on the Charles River, and he made sure to let every little kid take a turn steering and posing for photos. Well worth the price.

Mainly, it all depends on whether you get a funny driver. Took this about ten years ago and the guy was good enough to be in a nightclub. This time the driver was painfully unfunny, but thought he was. Good way to see a lot of Boston, though, and the trip on the Charles River is refreshing at the end. If you have kids, the driver will let them steer for a while. And even some adult 'kids' if there's time...like my girlfriend who tried to 'floor' it!
