“Frog pond is a great way to beat the heat!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We took a stroll through the Common...while it does not offer shade from the summer sun like its neighbor, The Public Gardens, it makes up for that by offering the Frog pond. take off you shoes and cool off for a bit on your way to Downtown Crossing or the Theater District. If you have little ones with you,be sure to bring a change of clothes for them, as they'll surely want to play in the fountain!

“Nice place to relax”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

It's a park, what can you say. There are trees and grass and benches and street vendors. There are some nice views if you stand at the top of the stairs looking over the common area.

“Nothing common about this Common.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

A great place to get away while in the city. Once an old cow pasture, this area has food vendors, restrooms (not always that nice), places to rest or read under a tree, and swimming or Ice skating based on the time of year. Many of the local Boston workers will retire here during their lunch breaks.

“relax in the midst of the city”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Despite it's historical significant, what I appreciated about the Boston Common is its simplicity as city park. The parking garage beneath it makes it incredibly accessible, and a good place from which to begin one's tour of the city by going to the information center located there as well. But I just liked that it made a great place to have a picnic with our family.

“Great public space”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Another great place to walk through just to take in everything that Boston has to offer. The public garden has more scenery but it's always great to walk through the common to see what's going on.
