“Fun way to get some history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

I followed along the trail with a copy of Frommer's Boston in my hand, which has a great walking tour described which helped us notice lots of stuff that we would have otherwise missed. Plan on spending the better part of a whole day on this if you really want to see all the sights. It's well worth the effort to go into the historic buildings along the way if they're open. I suggest stopping at the Parker Omni for a piece of original Boston Creme Pie, and then Ye Old Oyster House for an authentic Boston lunch, then Mike's Pastry in the North End for an incredible cannoli.

A great way to walk around the city whilst sharing in a piece of its history. We really got a feel for the place by following this trail.

“Boston, what a great city!”

This is a most if you go to Boston. Make sure you wear your walking shoes. The trail is only 2.5 miles, but it feels like you walk forever. Seeing all the historical sites was so cool!

“Get a tour guide.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

We got a tour guide from the freedom trail foundation for the 90 minute tour from Boston Common, having a local expert really made this come alive.
