Beautiful and beautifully maintained. Wide range of trees from around the world. Another Olmstead masterpiece. Disappointed by dog walkers who let their dogs crap off leash. They should be ashamed.

No better than a decent park. Sure its got a huge variety of plants, but if you have had a cup of water in the previous 24 hours, better plan ahead - they have 15000 varieties of plants and TWO bathrooms - well, two portapotties. Myriad of walking paths, but no signs to where one could go to and the signs for the trees and plants are either missing or pathetically illegible. Really very poor. I guess Harvard cant spare $ 1,000 for signs as they dont have change from the $ 20b they are sitting on.

Otherwise - Yaay! Fantastic!!

During a recent family visit to Brookline, near Boston, my sisters took us to the Arnold Arboretum for an afternoon outing. For those who love parks or are even a little bit into gardening or just like to learn more about what trees and shrubs they're seeing, this is a fabulous setting. Broad roadways for walking wind through both flat and gently hilly areas, leading past a wide variety of plants that have been selected and placed to show off their character. Helpfully, everything is labeled so that you can satisfy your curiosity about a plant you might like to have at home. My brother in law says it's also a great place for a leisurely bike ride, perhaps with a picnic attached.

If you want to walk leisurely, or ride a bike to see nature, this is the place to visit! There are so many species of trees and flowers! Take your camera.

One of the most peaceful places on earth. Just walking around here as a teenager soothed this savage beast. Just very well done and the views were great.
