Very nice park right in the heart of Boston. It is an easy walk from most parts of the city, but the subway stops at Park Station which is right at the edge of the park, so no excuse not to go. Lots of "firsts" associated with the park since it was opened in 1632. There is a visitor center in the park to get additional information. Lots of local activities going on most days. The Freedom trail starts (or ends) here. You can pick up a guided tour or just wander around on your own. Easy walk from the park to Charles River Esplanade and other sites.
