The Boston Public Gardens proved to be a perfect spot to sit and relax on a sweltering 4th of July. The Gardens are beautiful, and a welcome respite from the crowds on Boylston and Newbury Street. There are lots of benches that provide views of the pond and Swan Boats- so quaint!

Had a very lucky sunny (!) Saturday morning.
The park is relatively quite and we had a picnic with friends. It is situated in the middle of Boston, a green, well-maintained, spacious & lovely park.
You can go out from the park to the freedom trail.

We were on vacation in Boston and decided to take a walk through the park to get to our hotel instead of a taxi. It was beautiful, clean, quiet & we enjoyed it very much

On a recent visit to Boston, having never been in New England before, our first stop was the Boston Public Garden. I was travelling with my infant, and after several days of being on the road, he wanted to let off some pent up energy by playing in the park. He loved watching the swan boats and the ducks on the water and I was enamored with the old trees whose branches dipped down to the ground. A groundskeeper told me they were purple beeches. They're gorgeous. The many whimsical fountain sculptures were humorous, and we of course had to stop by the "Make Way for Ducklings" sculptures for a photo op. It was swarmed with kids and families waiting their turn to climb on the famous line of ducks, which made it a great place to meet other parents. One local mom gave me a few great tips for navigating the city with a stroller and where some other great parks were nearby. Very friendly city, and the park is an excellent place to cross paths with locals.

Lovely park with huge old trees with lots of shade and not to be missed. If it is your 1st time to Boston, you must ride the Swans. It is a required experience.
