“Clean, well-maintained museum with lots to do”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

This children's museum is very well maintained and clean, and staffed by folks who are happy and seem to care and delight in interacting with visitors. Most of the exhibits and activities are great at capturing kids' imagination and getting them involved in a hands-on way.

“cool place for 3-5 year olds”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

like an indoor playground. not much of a museum. lots of things for the kids to do there. I went to a birthday party there once, and the boys had to sit in one place why some lady sang to them. My 6 year old left saying, "that was wierd"

“Fun, fun, fun but wear clothing you can get wet and dirty!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

As I child this would have been heaven for me. Lots and lots of hands-on learning. There was water to play in, sand to mess around with and many other activities in which one has fun and ends up learning in the process. They have activities on three floors for a wide variety of age groups. Now, this is not cheap entertainment/learning...but this is Boston, after all. Adults are $14 per, and children aren't much cheaper. So, if you're on vacation and have some cash to spend, this is a GRRRRRREAT place to take the kids. Oh, and they have a lunch room where you can bring your lunch and eat it, and they have a changing area in every bathroom.

“Wonderful museum.”
Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

Great interesting variety of activities and things for kids. Brought our 2 yr old. Some things too old for her ( huge 3 level netting maze) but they had a whole room just for the under 3 age group that had great fun things.
We were surprised same cost for kids and parents( our local museum charges parents 1/2 cost because obviously parents aren't using most exhibits) but still reasonable cost for a fun day.
Tips: 1st floor is overwhelmingly busy, head right to 2nd or 3rd floor and its much more enjoyable.
Bring extra shirt, bubbles area equals sticky messy sleeves on kiddos.

“Great place for kids”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Three floors of fun. From a large three-floor cargo net to water play to a "ball" raceway to building blocks to an art studio to an authentic Japanese house to a basketball court, this place has plenty of activities. We were exhausted after we were done. It is Boston so you have to expect that it will be costly. If you cannot find parking on the street, there are plenty of paid parking lots (slight discount if you are going to the museum). And as others have said, it is crazy that they charge full price for a one year old. They try to justify this by having a small room just for them (however older kids go in there as well and no one stops them). Have fun.
