“Superb for kids between 2 -10!”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

This was a great place to visit in Boston for those bringing kids. We had a 6 month old baby and an almost 3 year old. While they cater to infants and mothers who need space for changing breast feeding or just feeding this place was great for my energetic toddler. While he could have spent all day in one room there were 6 others that we had to force him to explore and then force him to leave. As parents it's a very manageable museum and until pre-teen you will probably have to argue to get them leave.

“Excellent Hands on Museum”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

My kids loved this museum when they were growing up. So much to see, do, and learn. One of the best children's museums. Highly recommended.

“Among the best Children's Museums”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We have made a habit of visiting children's museums wherever we travel, and this is hands down one of the best. Our five year old son could have stayed all day if we didn't make him leave for lunch. Best exhibits for boys: the golf ball room (motion physics), the construction zone, and the 3-floor climbing structure. Bring your own lunch, there is no food inside. Next door is an Au Bon Pain.

“great for toddlers, easy for parents”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

We took my two year old and he loved it! This place was made for families with little kids. Bathrooms everywhere and a huge elevator to accommodate strollers. This is somewhere that makes it easy to bring kids. Every room has hands-on activities including the construction room of tables with ramps, bridges and trucks and the playspace for toddlers with a large train set and more. There is also a netted 3 level climbing structure and a cafe attached to the museum. Right outside are benches along the water/canal with room to move. We even went back the next day because there was so much my toddler hadn't done. If there is one place to visit in Boston with toddlers this is it. The only part that wasn't seemless was parking. You have to park in a garage two blocks away, but it was close enough for walking.

“Busy place for busy kids”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

What a wonderful place to take your child to in Boston. Relatively inexpensive located within walking distance to the Aquarium and Fanuel Hall. There is also a parking garage less than a block away.
I have a 5 yr old son who was quite camptivated by all they had to offer esp the climbing maze. I could see where about age 7 the kids could get bored. We spent about 2 1/2hrs there and had many hands on activities. The park area outside is very nice. You could pack a lunch and eat it there or they do have a cafe on site. The Museum is also available for private parties. The Japanese House was closed, I would have liked to have seen that.
