Owner description: At the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, you can be a part of the famous event that forever changed the course of American History! It’s more than a stroll through historic artifacts – it’s an adventure! Located on the Congress Street Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts, this floating museum is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here,” are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel. Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. Stop in at Abigail’s Tea Room for teatime and visit the Gift Shop for special souvenirs. It’s educational, entertaining and enlightening — an experience not to be missed by adults and children of all ages. Your tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum will last approximately one hour and will take you through a variety of displays that are interconnected. The tour is designed to give you the opportunity to participate, explore and learn about the people, events and consequences that led up to the American Revolution in the order in which they actually occurred more than 230 years ago.

A visit to the museum was worthwhile. We got free admission as part of our ticket for the Old Town Trolley Tour. The staff (actors) were incredible and we learnt lots. Thanks.

This was a great tour. Highly recommended for all ages. Very touching and a reminder of how brave these men and women were and how much they sacrificed for our freedom.

If you are touring Boston, the Old Town Trolley Tours offers free entry to this Museum as part of their ticket. There is a Tea room attached with a wonderful aroma of fresh scones baking and tea available for purchase.

That's what you are when you visit the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. With the purchase of the Old Time Trolley tour we had the choice of visiting this museum or taking the harbor cruise. I'm glad me opted for the museum. Instead of just walking through a museum, you are an active participant in colonial Boston, fed up with paying taxes to the throne without representation. You are stirred by Sam Adams' passionate words (played by an excellent actor) and you may even be given a part to play. Every one is rallied to cheer (hazzah!) at Sam Adam's call for justice, or boo (hissssss) at the mention of the king and his unfair taxes. Then you'll be given a disguise (I won't give that part away) so as not to be identified, tried and hanged for treason as you make your way onto the boat where you toss tea into the harbor! Whether you have children with you (we didn't) or not you will enjoy this informative attraction.

Much much better than I expected. Crew was FANTASTIC in character and should be singled out for top notch performance. Movies were great.

The acting of the staff was excellent and told the story of the Boston Tea Party revolt quite effectively. Liked the added humour to the story. Price a little steep.
