Description: The stunning first floor restaurant in Boston’s Liberty Hotel, Scampo, is a culinary destination created by legendary chef Lydia Shire and The Lyons Group in April of 2008. In Scampo, Shire’s reputation for defying tradition translates into Italian-inspired cuisine unrestrained by borders, drawing on flavors from the Mediterranean and Middle East. Scampo is a reflection of Chef Shire: bold, red and full of energy. The contemporary space features shiny copper lanterns, a glowing orange bar and seating overlooking the mozzarella bar.

The service was amazing
The food was its money worth and probably would average over a 5. The pizza is the restaurants life

“Great Meal at the Liberty Hotel”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Very nice meal at Scampo. Had the swordfish; really outstanding. Very attentive service. Expensive, but worth it. Kind of noisy, though, and the wine list is pricey, but all in all a great dinner.

“Good”

Dining area was superb but far to many different waiting personel attending table. I don't like when one person is finished then they lift the plate always find it more polite to wait till table is finished!!!

“MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Get the steak. The cheese plate is to die for, the service is impeccable, and if you can sit at the cheese bar, you'll have very nice conversations with the staff as you watch them create amazing plates.

“nice atmosphere”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We went here for brunch today. It was our first visit and our friends second. The atmosphere is fabulous. Great location, very easy to get to with valet parking. We were the only folks there for about an hour. Service was good. The menu was lovely and we each had different meals. I had the spaghetti with pink (pork) meatballs. It was ok. My husband had the squash bisque and the pancakes. Both were fine. (ordinary) Our friends split the carbonara which they said "wasn't the best", he had the lamb which looked gorgeous and was probably the best meal. She had the salmon and felt it was boring. We all were a bit disappointed. Lydia has been a fixture on the Boston food scene for many years so perhaps we will try it again.
