Also known as Little Italy. You pass through here walking the Freedom Trail. But tons of Italian restaurants. Can’t wait to have dinner here later in my trip. Also good bakeries.

Nice walking area, cute little side streets to explore, vibrant area with restaurants and bakeries. Typical Italian/American food in the area.

It's a bit hilly but very manageable. It's a great mix of historic sites intermixed with Boston's "Little Italy". Great restaurants and coffee shops abound and the historic sites are very iconic.

I would recommend parking your car and walking around. Trying to navagave by vehicle is almost impossible. The streets are so narrow. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.

A quick stop here will give an insight into who the services were done in a very different type of church. This was also the church where the signal to Paul Revere was given.

We did both a guided tour of the North End and then returned to walk through on our own pace. You will see Paul Revere's Home and North Church here.

Quaint neighborhood with delicious Italian food. The best lasagna and pastries you will find anywhere!

Walking the narrow streets and alleyways of Boston's North End is always fun Smelling the wonderful aromas of the shops, experiencing the energy of the neighborhoods, and getting a cannoli from a local pastry shop is a must when you visit the city.

A real Little Italy, particularly the side streets, generally safe because it is usually “self-policed” by the residents. Try some of the little eateries off Salem Street, sometimes the biggest tourist “draws” are not the best or most authentic.

We ate at Bricco Panetteria - fantastic food. Of course you must get a cannoli from Mike's - they were the best! Modern also has delicious Italian treats. There is a little pizza place called Galleria Umberto Rosticceria - best slice of pizza! The entry is a little garage door that they open, they are only open for lunch and you must pay in cash. So worth it!!
