Owner description: This Italian neighborhood, Boston's oldest, is known for its wonderful restaurants and historic sights. Walk the cobblestone streets to take in the architecture and aromas of delicious food, and visit Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church while you're in the neighborhood.

“Great food!”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

A tour we took said there were 100+ restaurants in this area.

A local recommended Mother Anna's to us and we loved it. Decor and atmosphere is not great there, but the food is!

Also a popular stop is Mike's Pastry. They specialize in cannolis and had over a dozen different flavors to choose from, including flavors like cappuccino and mint chocolate chip. Chocolate covered cannoli was excellent. Was not impressed with their Whoopie Pie.

We were told by a local that Modern Pastry (just up the block from Mike's) is actually better overall. We had already gone to Mike's and it's just too much food!

Featuring spectacular restaurants, fun shops and historic sights. Check for one of the many events or "feasts" held here several times each Summer.

“Little Piece of Italy in the Heart of Boston”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

Little Italy right in Boston. Great place to walk around. Tons of wonderful resturantes, cafes, and little shops. The people are old timers right from italy. Everyone is very friendly and willing to share their personal stories which only adds to the charm of this cozy place. The streets are narrow and crowded just like the city of Rome. If you cannot make the trip all the way to Italy this is the next best thing! Definetly attend one of their annual festivals like St Anthony's feast for even more fun!

Just walk..., close your eyes..., and breathe deeply!... Feel the taste of Italy. Amazing!... it's like being transported to down town Rome... Hundreds of restaurants for all Budgets. If you don't know where to eat... look your trip Advisor!
When you visit Boston... when you visit Boston..., GO to visit North End!
