Good atmosphere, extensive menu, friendly staff, great historic location. The prices were pretty reasonable. Good choices of local beers. Good lobster rolls and clam chowder.

We went here for lunch and could not have chosen a better spot. Whether you enjoy the sports, the bar, comfy visiting with friends, all should be relaxed at this pub. The wait staff were exceptional and the foods / salads were extremely good. Great serving sizes and one will not leave here hungry. Pricing was middle of the road and a meal won't break your wallet too much. Great place to rest, visit, catch up with friends and eat! Worth the stop folks.

On business trips I usually stay at the Nine Zero next door to the Beantown Pub. This is a great place for a quick lunch, late dinner after traveling or for a few drinks after a client event. The place is big, but the bar can get hot and crowded near the front. Pools tables in the back along with another dining room. The food menu is long and so is the beer list. I usually order one of the specialty sandwiches named after famous Boston leaders. The staff is always friendly and even late at night there are no problems with locals staring down the New Yorker in a suit.
