“nice local pub not tourist trap”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

we head to boston on a regular basis. we always stop in at the beantown pub for lunch. the portions are large so bring an appitite. typically we like to sit at the bar, feeling that we get more attentive service. this is not the case here. our only complaint is that the bar staff spends more time socializing than keeping up with their patrons. whereas the waitress spend more time working their tables. on our last trip the bartender maria was spent more time on the phone than the bar. still we will return just not at a bar seat. if you go on a day the have the cuban on the specials do yourself a favor and get it. the best cuban ever.

“Great Boston Pub”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

Sean, was our Bartender and he made us feel like we were regulars there. We were, actually, regulars for 3 nights in a row. Great pub and pub food. Good atmosphere, good music and enough tv's to watch your favorite sports game. Several pool tables inside, but never got to play pool-just drank!

“Good place to kick back after a tour.”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

I've been here enough times to be called a "regular". In all that time I've noticed that just about everyone gets the treatment normally associated with regular clientel. The staff are all quite friendly. The only warning I would provide regards portion size of meals. You really need to bring an apetitie or possibly a couple of friends to share with. By the way, they serve breakfast daily, again watch the portions.

“Saturday Morning Breakfast”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

We were staying downtown Boston and looking for a breakfast place besides the hotel and came upon Beantown Pub. Friendly staff, good food and decent size portions for the buck. And across the street is the cemetery where Paul Revere, John Hancock and Samuel Adams are buried among other Bostonians. The pub is on the Freedom Trail and would be a nice place to stop in for a beer during the walk. When we went past it on Saturday 05/05/12, the place was rockin' in high gear because it was KY Derby Day and Cinco De Mayo. A fun crowd but no place to sit!
