I am hesitant to give too glowing of a review, for fear of raising future guests' expectations to the impossible, but here it goes.

We stayed at 1900 around July 4th and had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful, well adorned, and charming. The deck was nice, and the grounds in immaculate shape.

Lynn and Ron were tremendous hosts. Their food recommendations were spot on (9 Mile, Salsas, et al), social hour was relaxed, and the breakfasts were tasty. We needed directions multiple times, and the directions provided were always accurate down to the tee. Lynn and Ron were friendly, but not intrusive. The staff was friendly as well.

There were a number of nice touches that really made our stay great. Coffee/tea delivered before breakfast, brownies and cake in the sitting room, as well as soft drinks (having both Coke and Pepsi really stood out as going above-and-beyond to make sure everyone is happy). Additionally, the day we arrived it was pouring. Rather than having us deal with the rain and parking in an unfamiliar city, Lynn and Ron offered us a ride downtown.

Overall, we could not recommend 1900 more and we will certainly be back if we are ever traveling through Asheville again.

My wife and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary at the inn this past weekend and had an excellent time. We stayed two nights in the newly remodeled Fitzgerald room and were very impressed with all of the updates, especially the bath area. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the evening social time was relaxing and gave us a chance to meet new friends. We look forward to coming back to Asheville and enjoying another stay at the 1900 Inn on Montford. Thanks Ron and Lynn !

Everything was lovely. The William Morris suite was fantastic, offering the restful retreat I was seeking in a short getaway. The room offered the desired privacy and was well appointed. The breakfast was fabulous and I found myself anticipating it each morning. However, it was the small touches that really put the Inn at the top. The heated floors, spa shower and whirlpool, extremely comfortable bed and sheets all left me feeling relaxed. I brought my dog along for the trip. He was pampered as well. They had a special treat for him when we arrived. In the room they provided useful amenities like extra pet litter bags, towels, leash, and bowls. Also, each breakfast included a special treat for him. I will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed at 1900 Inn on Montford for a "mini-moon" immediately following our wedding late May last year. The location is wonderful - we were only 10-15 minutes away from the Biltmore and only 5 minutes away from downtown Asheville. Lynn had great dinner suggestions every night. She also had a mid-afternoon wine treat everyday. Breakfast was also delightful. We will be back if we find ourselves in Asheville again!

My wife and I just finished a 2 night stay at Montford during a vacation to Asheville. We prefer B&B's to staying in hotels. Based on the previous reviews, we booked our stay at Montford. We were not disappointed. We reserved the Fitzgerald Room which was absolutely gorgeous. We had plenty of room and the updated bathroom was extraordinary. We loved the shower with the lights in the floor. The breakfasts were delicious and served promptly. The best part though were the owners Lynn and Ron. They had excellent knowledge of the area and were able to give us all kinds of tips to make our vacation extra enjoyable. We loved the social hour that they host every evening on the porch from 5-6pm as it was a nice chance to chat with them and the other guests. We hadn't gotten that opportunity at other B&B's. Also, they put in a lot of nice touches throughout our stay that I'm not going to spoil in the review. I'm sure you will love your stay with them!

Room Tip: We loved the Fitzgerald room, but hear they are updating others as well.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in The Cloisters Suite to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We loved our whole stay. Breakfast was delicious and service was amazing. Lynn and Ron (and their staff) make you feel right at home in their beautiful Inn. They are available when you need them and respectful of your privacy when you don't. We will definitely stay here again.

If you are ever in Asheville, NC and are into Bed & Breakfast's, stay here. The innkeepers and employees are wonderful. Afternoon wine and conversation on the front porch was a definite highlight to our day. Quiet, clean and beautiful rooms were definitely appreciated. Would stay here again! The Cloisters is a very romantic suite.
