My wife surprised me with a little trip for my birthday. When we arrived, Lynn had birthday balloons and a bottle of champagne waiting for me. (Very cool and sweet) We stayed in the William Morris room and you really have no reason to leave other than lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served via a light knock on your door and I couldn't wait to see what the following day's breakfast was. They just got better. I can't wait to go back, the trip was a blast and a perfect 44 for me. Thanks Lynn, and wifey too!

Room Tip: William Morris is great although we want to try them all!

Just stayed a couple of nights in this treasure. We stayed in the William Morris room in the carriage house, and it was beautiful and compfy and had the latest electronics all in one! The sheets were so soft that even waking in the night was easy to be lulled back to sleep by the sheer comfort. Loved the little private courtyard right outside our door. Every breakfast was more scrumptous than the next, and even delivered to our room. Ron and Lynn are wonderful hosts, helpful in every way including having a binder of restaurant suggestions with updated revues and menus in our room, and they will even make reservations for you. From the leather chairs, gas fireplace, jacuzzi with more jets than I have fingers and toes, steam bath in the extra large shower with jets and rain shower head, to the chocolate chip cookies our stay was five star. We will be back!!

Room Tip: We opted for privacy in our stay in the carriage house, as opposed to a room in the main house.

We picked the 1900 Inn on Montford with no prior knowledge of the venue, and feel like we were really lucky. It was an excellent value. The B&B was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the sun room for conversations with our family members. The social hour was most enjoyable, and it allowed us to get to know Ron and Lynn, the innkeepers, as well as other guests. The food was excellent. Ron, Lynn, and the staff were most helpful with setting up visits to Biltmore, as well as providing advice on other local attractions. Ron's willingness to drive us to our dinner destinations in his Rolls Royce was a real treat. So were the complementary sodas, water, and snacks downstairs at all times. We had a great time, and would not hesitate to stay here again, or recommend it to friends and family visiting the Asheville area.

Room Tip: The Thomas Wolfe room gets morning sun.

This trip was a special one for us as my mother was with us, and this B&B is in the house that my mother's family used to own back in the 40's/early 50's, and ran as a boarding house. It was my mother's favorite place out of all the places she lived while growing up in Asheville. The chance to stay there was one we couldn't pass up. It's an absolutely gorgeous old house, and as my mother said, "It sure didn't look like this when I lived here!" Ron & Lynn have made it a beautiful home, and it's a treat not to be missed. We stayed for 2 nights - my husband and I in the O. Henry room (with the original clawfoot tub that my mother remembered!) and my mother and niece in the Edith Wharton room. The rooms are all beautiful, immaculate, and give you a feeling of real luxury. Lynn and the staff are all gracious and welcoming, and made us feel like part of the family. They even took us on a tour of the other rooms, because my mother wanted to see what the house looked like now. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on our next trip to Asheville. The area is gorgeous, and Ron & Lynn's B&B is an absolutely lovely experience. As someone else has said, the breakfasts were delightful, and we had a great time chatting with Lynn. She made my mother feel so special, and we so enjoyed our time there! It was sad to leave!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice; the O. Henry has a clawfoot tub; the Edith Wharton has a jacuzzi tub; but...

Wonderful Inn in a very nice residential neighborhood. Very close to downtown. Best hospitality I've ever experienced at a B and B. The hosts are really friendly and the hosted nightly social hour is a great opportunity to experience the slow life sitting on the beautiful porch sipping wine and chatting with group. Saturday night featured incredible live music. Awesome gourmet breakfast.
Our room was large and very comfortable.

Room Tip: Choices well described on the website

More than exceeded our expectations! The Rossetti room was fabulous, as was the delicious breakfast. The Carlsons - Lynn & Ron - were wonderful hosts. They had great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We will definitely stay here again, the next time we visit the Asheville area.

Wow. What a wonderful place to stay. We weren't sure what to expect but had a nice feeling when speaking to Lynn & Ron. They helped us with suggestions even before we booked our stay. When we finally arrived and met everyone we were so impressed. We were given a tour and brought to our room. Karen, who showed us around, was very friendly and couldn't have been friendlier.
Lynn was awesome. She was so personable and warm. Lynn gave us suggestions on eateries and helped us with getting familiar with the city. Lynn knew it all. We spent hours relaxing and chatting. Ron was also very nice and couldn't have been more accommodating. The other members of the team were also very nice and helpful. Dana was especially sweet.
Anyway we liked our room and the Inn so much we didn't even care to venture out very often. We attended a wedding one evening and had dinner at a great great Jamaican restaurant Lynn suggested. We liked the food so much we ate there almost daily.
Our room was probably one of the smaller rooms but was perfect for us. One of the big decision makers for us was the Jacuzzi tub. When we weren't relaxing downstairs we were upstairs relaxing in the bath and napping. These are things we don't get to do often in LA.
The breakfasts were out of this world. Lynn catered to our special dietary needs and served up something special everyday. She was even awesome enough to fix us a basket of goodies for the early morning departure we had. Every evening they had a social hour for the guest with wine and Saturday there was live music. Not sure what else I can say. We really hated leaving. We will certainly return to Asheville and will definitely spend our time at the 1900. You cannot go wrong here.
