The Omni Grove Park Inn
Ranked #13 of 66 Hotels in Asheville
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Have been traveling to the Grove Park Inn since 2005. Went there when it was family owned, managed and operated. Stayed there during the aquisition by KSL. Visited recently after the purchase by Omni Hotels. I have never had a bad stay there, ever, but my most recent was the best! Much, much attention paid to the tiniest of detail. Many more staff members visible, all wanting to assist in any way possible. Check-in was fast and courteous. After being greeted by the friendly parking lot attendant and giving my last name (had never happened before), I found that registration had obviously been alerted so that all of my check-in documents were pretty much ready by the time I reached the desk. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and received cheesecake with candles and a nice, hand-signed card my first evening, a rose and special beverage with my massage. (The Spa deserves it's own heavenly review.) Little touches thruoghout the resort, some old, some new. Familiar faces of staff I've known and loved for many years. Makes me want to start planning my next trip to Omni Grove Park Inn right away.

Room Tip: I prefer a room at the end of the hallway with mountain view. Breathtaking. It is very far away from...

Marvelous updates to this resort in the past year. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Look forward to staying at The Grove Park Inn at least once a year. I have stayed here for business and pleasure and never disappointed in any of the amenities. Big improvement in restaurant choices.

Stayed there over a long weekend (8/9 - 8/120 with family and friends. The grounds were amazing! The golf course was excellent as well. The service throughout the entire resort was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure your needs were met. Tried to go to the Edison Room for dinner but the wait was too long so we went to the President's Room and ordered off of the menu for a large group. The service and food were excellent!

Later that night went back to the Edison Room for drinks as the group had gotten smaller and we were warned by the servers that the kitchen was not open. The next evening we went to the Edison Room again for dinner and were told by the servers that the kitchen was not open. Later that evening friends that were staying there went down to the Edison Room and were once again warned by the servers that the kitchen was not open. It got to be running joke during our stay.

The stunning grounds at this resort coupled with the great service will definitely bring me back. However, I will not pin my hopes on eating at the Edison Room. One tip, be sure to chat up the valets for tips about Asheville. They set us in the right direction many a time and made our exploration of the city even more enjoyable.

Room Tip: Stay in the original part of the hotel if you want rooms with a little more charm. Stay in the newer...

Hotel was beautiful and staff was first class. We really enjoyed our stay at the Grove Park Inn. Spa experience was amazing, so relaxing. We were only able to eat at the Blue Ridge on Sat which featured the Prime Rib buffet, it was excellent.

I spent Labor Day weekend. The Entire Resort including the grounds, spa and buildings were Perfectly Stunning. I have to say the entire staff particularly those at the front desk and valet were so nice and helpful. The best I have encountered in along time.

Our first time visiting - everything & all the staff were very professional & friendly. We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday and we do plan to return for future visits. We have visited many different spas & I can say you are at the top of the list. Hopefully next time we can get in some golfing.

The Grove Park Inn has always been a fantastic destination. It will only get better under the Omni flag. While the physical plant can and will get some updates with Omni at the helm, that is also part of the charm. The addition of Edison's restaurant and lounge rounds out the food and beverage offerings. This is one of the top five spas in the U.S. The golf course, while short, is a great Par 70 test of your game, especially on the greens. While the sleeping rooms may not be quite to the Four Seasons or Rosewood "trim packages" they are close enough. Moreover, that's not the allure of the Grove Park. The staff is remarkable and the overall experience shouldn't be missed!
