We were on a two week motorcycle trip on the Blueridge Parkway and chose to stay here for a few days to "take a break" from riding. The location is right near the parkway but farther from down town than we had thought. We stayed in the Bitmore suite and it was very large and perfect for a relaxing stay. The room was decorated nicely and was very clean. The pool area and the breakfast/front desk area were also very clean and kept up well. The hotel is right next door to a convenience store with a subway restaurant inside which made it very nice for late night snacks. The only complaint I would have is that the hotel has contracts with what looks like state highway workers and they were in the room next to us and leave very early in the morning so there was too much noise at 5:30-6:00a.m. They should put all the workers in rooms near each other to avoid this. The breakfast buffet was more than enough and the 24hour coffee was a great benefit also. I would recommend this to anyone who would like a reasonable place to stay with in 6 miles of downtown

Room Tip: I would request a room on the outside of the property, the interior has rooms facing each other so t...

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for the suggestion about keeping the state worker rooms together. We hope that you stay with us again in the future.

My wife and I recently stayed at this Quality Inn and were more than impressed with its staff, location, and condition.

This Quality Inn was immaculate inside and out. The entire grounds including the pool area and parking lot was spotless. Our room was a non-smoking one and it was not only clean but also well stocked with amenities. Our room had a flat screen TV, microwave, small refrigerator, iron and ironing board, a king size bed, pull out couch, coffee table, and a coffee maker.

The hot breakfast buffet had more than enough choices to make anyone happy. The staff, especially Elena, were all polite, helpful and very courteous.

Another plus was that this location was only a 10 minute ride(or less) to get to downtown Asheville with no complicated directions needed.

If we come back to the area this Quality Inn would be our first choice.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool , but this is not a hotel if you are looking for a great view from your...

They advertised a free hot breakfast. The breakfast room was quite cramped and crowded. The 1st day the ham was so salty it wasn't edible and they had small scrambled egg frisbee disks. No maid service the first day. The 2nd day they had sausage and biscuits with gravy that was better. Had maid service because we called the front desk. On August 1 the pool temp was about 70 degrees, so it wasn't warm enough to swim. The bed and shower were comfortable. The wifi was weak and slow. There is a Motel 6 across the street for $49 to $59, I would stay there instead.

We are very sorry to hear that our hotel was not a good value to you. It is our goal to provide clean, comfortable accommodations at a great value and we regret that we failed to meet that goal. We understand that our breakfast room can be crowded when the hotel is full and we appreciate your patience. We will check with Housekeeping to see why you did not receive service during your stay. Thank you for letting us know about the pool temperature. We will check that as well.

I stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites on a recent motorcycle excursion heading East. The hotel is within less than a minute of the Highway, and only a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is located outside the downtown portion of Asheville, so keep this in mind if your looking for places to eat right next door.

Staff was extremely friendly, and provided great advice on where to catch a bite to eat at a local establishment.

Hotel has been recently remodeled, and the appearance of the rooms were good. Upon opening the door, the A/c was not on, and the room was very stale. It smelled like someone with bad hygiene was still living in the room. Once I got the air moving, and left the door open for a bit, it seemed to dissipate a little.

Plenty of towels, pillows, and amenities with slick marketing brochures littered the room. Large screen TV, etc.

Parking was a challenge. I like to have my motorcycle within site of my room, and I had to wait for others to leave to ensure I could secure a spot.

My A/C stopped working during the night, and the fan option did not bring in any outside air (it was colder outside than in my room). At 3AM, I opened the door for 20 minutes and was able to cool it off enough for the night.

Breakfast was basic, everything pre made and microwaved. Coffee was decent, and you can't mess up waffle batter. The selection of cereals was geared towards older individuals, I mean those that are looking to stay healthy except for fruit loops.

I was not overly impressed with my stay and when checking out I didn't give a resounding review to the person checking me out. They said they would check on the A/C, but didn't offer more than a sorry.

I think this hotel is overpriced for the offering, and should step it up if they want to charge what they do.

Room Tip: Get down stairs since there are no elevators. Book away from the road also.

Non-smoking families looking for non-smoking facilities ABSOLUTELY despise checking into hotel rooms that smell like old tobacco. We tried 2 different rooms and the second one was worse than the first. This is an old motel that feels like an old motel. Front desk is accommodating but cannot change the fact that rooms are not up to par. We paid $144 (taxes included) for a $69 stinking motel room.

We are very sorry to hear that the rooms you were assigned to smelled of smoke. We will address that with our housekeeping staff. Guests tend to smoke right outside of their rooms with the doors open instead of the designated smoking areas. We will look at ways to address this problem. We do apologize and appreciate your understanding.

We found our room to be clean and comfortable, very functional. Would have been nice if the refrigerator had a freezer section for the ice packs we use in our cooler when traveling. We had a room on the second floor, there was no elevator. Parking was really a challenge there that night, especially because there was a truck hauling granite slabs and a large moving truck in the parking area that took up a lot of space. Breakfast was average, what you'd expect for a free breakfast at a Quality Inn. Name is misleading, not really close to the Biltmore, and not a lot of restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: I would expect top floor rooms to be quieter.
