“Great rooms, great service, great people”

The Wright Inn is a great place to stay. The Gilmores are great hosts with plenty of knowledge about the city. They even called and made our dinner reservations for us! Provided all we needed. The only down side was we have a Mac, and could not connect to the wireless. O well.

I am very sorry you that had a problem connecting to our wireless system. Had this issue been brought to our attention it was probably easily corrected. Not only do we have a very fast and strong wireless system, we also have the house hardwired and ethernet cables available. Many guests bring their "MAC" and always connect immediately. My inn manager also uses a MAC and as soon as we recieved your survey, we checked the system and her MAC connected perfectly. I do not know what could have happened but I am sorry you were unable to connect to the internet.

We have stayed here many times in the past 20 yrs. We can always count on elegance, attentive staff, comfort, quiet and beautiful surroundings. The grounds are a treat in themselves. Rooms are well appointed, breakfast quite tasty and not over done. We have experienced several innkeepers - all are cut from the same cloth in understanding what it takes to satisfy the usual B&B traveler.

We had a fantastic visit at the Wright Inn and Carriage House. The service was impeccable - we stayed in a "garden level" room that was cut off from the rest of the house, and the room was chilly when we arrived. The innkeepers immediately came down to show us the thermostat and how to operate the gas fireplace, and even tho they assured us the room would heat up quickly (and they were right), they also brought us extra blankets just in case. Unfortunately we visited Asheville during a freak snowstorm, and having to go outside to get to breakfast was unpleasant, but had the weather been otherwise we would have simply appreciated the privacy it afforded. The innkeeper actually cleared the snow from everyone's cars while we were at breakfast - we didn't know until someone saw him out the window. The food was fantastic, and the innkeepers made themselves and their local knowledge available to us, but they didn't interfere. I would happily go back.

This was the first time staying at a B&B for both me and my girlfriend. We had a wonderful time. The owner spent time talking to us and was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, as was the service. For the money, we could not have asked for a better experience. My only gripe would be the narrow, steep stairs leading to our smallish room. But being on the third floor, I'm sure this is to be expected. All in all the Wright Inn was extremely satisfying, and we'll plan to go back the next time we're in Asheville.

My college-aged daughter and I were very pleased with the Wright Inn, the staff, and everything about our visit to Asheville over her spring break this year. The Wright Inn was lovely in every way and exceeded our high expectations for historic beauty and charming comfort. The candle-lit breakfasts were fabulous and Shirley was very attentive to our comfort at the inn and our needs for touring information. She provided helpful maps, directions, and wonderful restaurant recommendations. I am planning a return visit to Asheville with my husband next time and will absolutely plan to stay at the Wright Inn.

The house was beautiful and the location was great. Not too far away from town but just out of reach of noisy traffic. Breakfast was EXCELLENT and such a treat. I would definitely recommend the Wright Inn if you are looking for a "home away from home" while you are traveling Asheville.

We stayed for three nights in the "Carridge House". the Innkeepers were very solicitous and helpful with a crowd of family - brothers, sisters, spouses, and kids. The House was very clean and in good repair. The amenities were first class and this place works well if you have a group, and need a "home base". I am planning to go back.
