With a nod to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the Wright Inn Carriage House is a great place to have a girls weekend. Or celebrate a significant birthday.

The house is cozy and homey with everything you need to feel welcome. We thorougly enjoyed having cocktails on the patio in the early evening while admiring the beautiful landscaping. So much so that we never went out for dinner.

The neighborhood is quiet and lovely--great for cool evening walks. Lots of historic architecture to enjoy. And great proximity to downtown Asheville.

I would love to come back every year.

We found the Wright Inn the perfect place when staying in Asheville. It is within walking distance to the downtown area and the tour trolley stops in front of the house. The owners are absolutely wonderful and very accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and provided timely information and suggestions about where we wanted to visit or dine. We were very happy with all their suggestions and was never disappointed. The inn itself was very beautiful and was everything we expected a bed and breakfast to be. The staff is very friendly and kept the place sparkling clean. I am a vegan and the staff made sure that my favorite breakfast food was available, the food was always creatively prepared and delicious. I love Asheville and plan to return in the near future and will definitely stay at the Wright Inn.

Our stay at the Wright Inn was wonderful. The room had a great view and was attractive, quiet and clean. I loved the neighborhood, which was interesting, safe and perfect for walking. The front porch provided a great opportunity to just sit back, relax and enjoy the well tended grounds. The breakfasts were scrumptous. The best part of our stay was the sweet hostess Shirley, who was so helpful and informative in suggesting places to explore and restaurant choices. We can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: The Griffen Room has a larger bathroom.

The Wright Inn and Carriage House is an outstanding place to be if you love luxury and excellent service. The Celebration Suite is just the place to renew the "spark" with your companion. Shirley, thank you sooo much for being such a gracious hostess and giving us all the great tips on how best to see Asheville and the wonderful places to eat. You are definitely the greatest asset of the Wright Inn. Folks, if you plan to vacation in Asheville, NC, staying at the Wright Inn B & B will be the highlight of your vacation. Thank you so much for the warm southern hospitality.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Wright Inn. The innkeepers were very helpful and the breakfast excellent. I have special dietary needs and the innkeepers were very gracious in accommodating my requests. Being a walker I loved the neighborhood and all of the streets near the Inn for morning walks. The houses in this neighborhood are beautiful and fun to look at all of the architectural styles. There is even a park near by and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to down town Asheville; a real plus. Would highly recommend this B&B to fellow travelers.

Room Tip: Enoyed the small room in the back; very quiet. All of the rooms looked plush and inviting some with...

The Wright Inn is a lovely historic home with super clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Any room you select would be perfect...perhaps the one on the main floor would be a bit in the center of things in the mornings for some though. All rooms that i got a peek into were perfect though. Everything you need is there along with all the right little touches. After camping along the Blue Ridge Parkway and a long drive to Asheville, this was just the comfortable place I needed, with helpful, friendly proprietors who also gave you plenty of space. A nice creative breakfast was served with all in the house, but everyone staying there had tips or stories to share and it was so much nicer than staying in a hotel where you don't get the same chances to socialize with residents and other travelers. This B&B in particular had terrific off-street parking in such a safe area and also wonderfully landscaped property and a wrap around front porch. While you could walk to the downtown area, there was no reason not to take the 5-10 min drive as it was easy to park, but there are even a few great restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the Inn.

Set in a leafy neighborhood close to downtown, The Wright Inn is a beautiful historic home that is warm, comfortable and relaxing. Picture perfect wrap-around porch. Scrumptious breakfasts. Fragrant gardens. And wonderful, knowledgable hosts who know how to keep it all lovely. A truly first-rate place to stay in Asheville.
