Located in quiet residential section of Asheville, convenient to downtown via a short drive. Ample on-location parking. Innkeepers/Owners Bob & Barbara Gilmore wonderful hosts. Breakfasts outstanding; something different each morning. Our room was well appointed & comfortable. Separate carriage house on property with 3 bedrooms, would be great for families or small groups. Highly recommended overall.

Room Tip: Variety of rooms; call early

This was our very first experience at a bed and breakfast, and the Wright Inn set the bar very high. The house was beautiful, and we had such a cozy and private third floor room and bathroom. Shirley cooked the most delicious gourmet breakfasts each morning and gave us many suggestions for things to do. The location is a short distance from downtown and Biltmore Estate. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Asheville.

Room Tip: Hampton Room--third floor with a private bathroom

The house is stunning, located in the Asheville historic district. Plenty of free parking. Our room, the green room, was plush and inviting. Every room has its own private bathroom. The house is located near all Asheville attractions. The breakfast had to be the best we've ever had!! The owners and staff very friendly and extremely accomodating. I recommend this to anyone that wants to visit Asheville.

The 1899 Wright Inn and Carriage House was the perfect complement to our stay in Asheville. The home is such an immaculate piece, managed by two very generous and friendly hosts. The entire time, I felt like a member of their family. I thank them so much for being a part of our trip in such a memorable and wonderful way.

We don't get away often, so we looked for a place with beautiful exterior and decor, a quiet neighborhood so we could get a good night's sleep, and convenience to Asheville's sights. We got it all, including a tasty hearty breakfast (loved the fruit with Amaretto sauce!) and fresh baked cookies on the way out the door. I hope we can come back to stay soon!-- I'm sure when everything is budding out, it will be even more gorgeous!

My wife and I are so pleased with our experience at the Wright Inn and Carriage House that we plan to stay there exclusively in our future travels to Asheville. The rooms were wonderful and the service that we received was far beyond our expectations.

Bob was most helpful in helping us choose activities that fit our personalities and he was even able to give us recommendations to the best restaurants in Asheville. We trusted his suggestions and had two amazing meals at Zambra and The Lobster Trap. Bobs directions to attractions in the city and even to the National Park attractions an hour away were so good that we didn't have to use our GPS even once!

Bob is also an excellent chef and the breakfasts were wonderful. Bob even took the time to share several of the recipes with us so that we could recreate our Wright Inn experience at home.

I would recommend the Wright Inn and Carriage House to anyone traveling to Asheville. We are looking forward to our next visit.
