This place is the best. We booked Oct. 26th - 28th at Reynolds Mansion to see the Fall Foliage and we couldn't have been happier with the B&B. Like all the reviews say, Billy really is great. Incredibly genuine and really wants you to have the best time while you are staying there. It's not just Billy though. The entire staff was very nice and really looked out for you. The Mansion itself is beautiful and has so much history to it that the stories behind it and then the stories that Billy and the rest of the staff have while working there make the Mansion even better. The breakfast...is the best breakfast we've ever had at a B&B. We had egg, spinach and cheese crepes the first breakfast and the second one was a unique variation on Eggs Benedict that was very good. Ofcourse, coffee, fruit, orange juice and delicious baked goods as well. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
Billy also has a pre-typed list of his favorite places to eat downtown which we used and agreed with heartily that the recommendations were well deserved.
We went to Chimney Rock and did some great hikes and saw the beautiful colors of their Fall Foliage.
We are definitely coming back to Asheville and staying at The Reynolds Mansion.

Stayed at the Reynolds Mansion after reading about it on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! Billy and Mike and their staff made us feel right at home. Breakfasts were delicious as well as the sweet treats that were available 24 hours. The location is perfect for accessing downtown or the Biltmore. Billy is full of great restaurant suggestions and has a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the mansion as well as the regional history and points of interest. The Reynolds Mansion is the only place I will stay wen I return to Ashviile now!

My wife and I had no expectations or previous experience to draw upon for our first stay at a B&B. We travel often and stay at specialty hotels which have worked out for us great in the past. However, I decided to surprise my wife for our anniversary trip and booked guestroom Glenda at the Reynolds Mansion. I couldn't have made a better choice.

Our innkeepers, Billy and Michael, were great hosts and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. They have kept the historical significance of the mansion in the forefront while adding their own personal touches to the guestrooms. This balance works very well as we enjoyed the history of the house along with the story of how they named the rooms. The welcoming fireplace and seating in the room allowed us to unwind after a day of being out and about in Asheville. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. It was a pleasure for us to experience the Reynolds Mansion and we look forward to returning in the future.

My partner, 5 month old King Charles cavalier spaniel and I had the privilege of staying at the mansion in early December 2011. We were afraid they would not allow pets but, we and our beloved Abby were treating to a beautiful room in the carriage house. This was our second glorious time at the B&B, this time with our pup in tow. The carriage house was an extension of the mansion down to every historical, beautiful detail; in addition to the modern amenities. The mansion was decorated beautifully and tastefully during the holiday season. We were again, welcomed with open arms by Billy and Mike. As a vegetarian I have a very picky palate. Billy pulled together one of the most fantastic breakfasts I have ever had; truth be told, meal period. He didn't even blink an eye when I went over my likes and dislikes. My partner and I never stay at B&B'S, except at the Reynolds Mansion. The Ritz-Carlton and Gaylord chains need to take a page out of Billy's book. We are looking forward to our next visit. STRONGLY RECOMMEND!! A++++++

When you first arrive at the Mansion, you can instantly feel all the history in this wonderful Inn. You are then warmly greeted by the Innkeeper, Billy. As Billy is checking you in he also shows you around, is happy to tell you all about the Inn and its history and makes sure you are all set with whatever local entertainment you are interested in.

This is my third visit to Reynolds Mansion and each visit has been even better than the last. There is something very peaceful and relaxing about staying here. Each room has a private bathroom and the walls are made of brick so while in your room you can’t hear a single noise outside of your room. You could sleep forever. But don’t – breakfast is served at 900am sharp and you don’t want to miss it.

Billy whips up a delicious breakfast each morning located in the beautiful mansion dining room. The staff is so accommodating and makes sure to anticipate your every need. Billy often comes out and shares a brief story or two detailing some piece of fascinating history about the Inn.

When you come back in the afternoon from a day of fun seeing the local sites, you can go in the dining room where there are wonderful treats and any kind of coffee or tea you may want.

All of the staff are so wonderful and friendly that by the time you leave you are saying goodbye to family. Thanks Billy and Michael for everything and thanks to Marty and Jess for their warm hospitality!

This was our first trip to the Asheville area and I am so glad we choose the Reynolds Mansion. We felt surrounded by history, warmth and elegance beginning with the beautiful chandelier in the foyer to the antique china at breakfast. Our room was spacious, comfortable and cozy. We wanted for nothing. Breakfast was superbly prepared and presented each morning. The service was friendly and helpful. Billy took the time to direct us to his favorite dining spots and activities in the area. Our favorite part of Asheville though, was just relaxing at the B&B and hearing stories about it's historic past... and munching on Billy's yummy cookies and cakes. We hope to return to the Reynolds Mansion as we consider it a destination, not just a place to stay.
