“Nice Stay in Asheville”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

This is a pretty Victorian B&B. The main house is done in the style of the era and well maintained. My wife and I stayed in the carriage house just behind the main inn. The carriage house was also a very clean, well appointed house. The only three rooms in the whole house, the carriage house would be a great choice for a group wanting "a place of their own." The staff at the inn was very helpful and accommodating. A delicious hot breakfast included with stay, as well as complimentary wine in the evenings. Only drawback is you definitely need a car to stay here. It's about two miles from downtown Asheville, which is walkable, but it's a bit far at night when you want to go out to dinner. And while it's a short walk to Biltmore Village (about half-a-mile), you will need a car if you want to visit the Biltmore Estate. There are taxis in town, and a very good car service which the hotel can recommend if needed. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay at this well located Asheville B&B.
It is located about halfway between Asheville's two main attractions - The Biltmore and Downtown Asheville.
The property is well maintained. The wireless internet not only worked, it was fast. Better than most Hampton Inns.
The breakfast was tasty, though not as amazing as some B&Bs. Don't get me wrong, it was a great breakfast, but Southern B&B's often have life changing breakfasts. This one was just great, not life changing.
Room was spacious and clean and well appointed. Bed was soft and slept very very well.
If you have mobility issues, ask about your room before booking. The tub/shower in the Queen Ann Room would be a chore for some to get into - and a hazard for others.
The property is walking distance from the hospital, in case your vacation takes a bad turn or you need to stay for a visit.
The Asheville Tourists baseball club is a short drive away - and walkable if you are ambitious. Highly recommend if you are in town when they are.

Room Tip: Queen Ann Room is like a Victorian Tea room exploded. My wife loved loved loved it.

I love visiting Asheville, NC and you can't get a better location than the Cedar Crest Inn. We were within walking distance of Biltmore Village. Our room was beautiful, sparkling clean and super comfortable. I loved breakfast on the veranda, the food was awesome. I can't wait for the opportunity to visit Cedar crest again. The overall experience was perfect!

My daughter and I only had a one night stay at the Cedar Crest Inn, but overall it was very impressive. We stayed in the Serenity room which had its own veranda, and we enjoyed spending sometime sitting out there. We also sampled the brownies that were out for the guests and they were delicious. Also, I don't understand some of the guests complaints about the breakfast being skimpy. How much can one person eat? We sat out on the veranda, and were immediately offered any type of juice. Then we were brought out fruit parfait and a cappuccino chip muffin that was to die for. After that we were brought out an egg sandwich. Very tasty, but at that point I was so full, I couldn't finish. Also, the inn is in a great location between downtown Asheville and the Biltmore area. Overall, we had a great time in Asheville and enjoyed our stay at the Cedar Crest Inn!

We stayed for a week at Cedar Crest Inn in the Cabin #1 room and loved having the extra space after a day of siteseeing. It was so nice to enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer while only being a few feet away. Breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed the afternoon/evening desserts! The location is central to everything in Asheville and we could be anywhere in town within a matter of minutes. Drew and his staff were so friendly and great at offering suggestions. We can't wait to return!!!

We visited over a weekend and had a lovely stay in the Romeo and Juliet room. The accommodations were more than we expected. The service was ideal. Breakfast on the veranda was more than enjoyable. Our room was spotless and cleaned over the weekend by Maria, who did an amazing job. The check-in staff was more than helpful with suggestions for dinner reservations and even offered to make them for us! The grounds are wonderfully kept and lovely to walk around. The beds are very comfortable and the public sitting areas are nicely appointed with seating and lovely antiques to enjoy. The location is perfect for getting in and around Asheville. We had a WONDERFUL stay!

We made the decision to stay at Cedar Crest Inn after talking with several other local inns that were rude and uninterested in our business! Weapons with Drew at Cedar Crest and immediately decided to stay here after his warm inviting customer friendly service! We stayed in the main house in the Reece Room! It was a beautiful elegant Victorian with beautiful clean furnishings, gorgeous woodwork and inviting clean and comfy rooms! We were offered wine and an amazing dessert after our late arrival! We sat on the porch and enjoyed the quiet evening! Our room/suite was clean, quiet and an amazing bed!! Breakfast was fantastic, and the service was 5 star!

For anyone that appreciates historical homes with charm character and beautiful authentic restoration will live this Victorian Lady! The service and staff are comparable to any luxury hotel! Thanks Drew for the amazing Customer Service! We can not wait to return! Amber
