“Consistently "Good Eats"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

Asheville has become a Foodie destination, and many more trendy and often upscale restaurants attest to this reputation. However there are a number of reliable, been here a long time, places where you can count on getting good food, reasonably priced, and served well that often get lost in the hype of the "latest find." One such place is--aptly named--Cornerstone. The outside is plain but attractive with plenty of parking in a well-kept lot. Inside is reminiscent of the Shoney's it was in an earlier life, but there the comparison ends. A look at the extensive menu lets you know that you can expect the American standards--burgers, spaghetti, chicken --as well as Greek-style offerings like spanakopita and the gyros platters. My husband's favorite is the "fall off the bone ribs" that he always orders and is never disappointed. I prefer a healthier choice like grilled scallops , but both are unfailingly delicious. This is a restaurant where the all you can eat and the lighter appetites will be pleased. And, all three meals are excellent --whether you come for a hearty home-cooked breakfast or a family dinner. It is hard to find a "one size fits all" type of restaurant but Cornerstone comes close.

“It's a Diner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

Recent Sanitation Score 98.
What you have here is a diner that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner off of a giant menu.
The breakfast was OK, as was the service, but it didn't stand out.
Cautiously recommended, as it's OK for what it is, but I don't plan to rush back.

“Very good breakfast and very good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

Another good find from tripadvisor. We stayed two nights at country inn & suites with complimentary breakfast but chose to try Cornerstone instead the last morning. We came here 9:00 Thursday morning for breakfast and left quite satisfied.

I ordered the Special Breakfast for $6.99 - 2 eggs, toast, 3 bacon, French toast, pancakes. I planned to share but hubby was too full so I left over more food than expected. He enjoyed his meal too but I don't remember what he had. Our waitress Chasity was very good and she was kind enough to turn down the overhead fan when I got too cold. I appreciated that.

“Great Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

They have a great breakfast. I love their Country Benedict. Biscuits, gravy, sausage, and eggs all piled up. So good. Their home fries are the bomb too.
