“small city lake”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Decent but small lake surprisingly right off Merrimon ave. You can canoe there and there is a small bird sanctuary which is actually more pleasant than the lake itself. Nice little escape from the city.

“Nice trail around the lake”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

The bird sactuary at the end of the lake is really nice. Part of the trail is next to a busy road that detracts from the hike. We were there in the winter when it was drizzly. They had small boats and kyaks that could be fun in the summer.

“Lovely Stroll near Bird Sanctuary and Library”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Nice easy stroll right next to the bird sanctuary. Flat, suitable for all ages and strollers. Canoes on lake, sometimes you can see people racing remote control sailboats.

“Nice place for an easy run.”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

I did a few easy miles on the paths on the east side of the lake. It was safe, mostly flat and scenic. Would come here again to run.
