Review of Fine Arts Theater

Fine Arts Theater
Ranked #5 of 30 Fun & Games in Asheville

When I was a kid, the "Fine Arts Theater" was a little different than it is now...back then the term "Fine Arts" was a euphemism for "adult film" and it was pretty seedy.

Now that Biltmore Avenue has become gentrified, the Fine Arts Theater has been reborn. It's a great place to take in a film, and you don't have to worry about your shoes sticking to the floor.

After your movie, check out the "Orange Peel" right down the street for the best in hip music, or check out the "Aloft Hotel" across the street for a drink. The Fine Arts is right in the middle of one of the really cool areas in Asheville (the other being Haywood street, but that's another review altogether).

We watched the movie Frank&Robot at the Fine Arts Theater. Its a sweet little theater with some sweets and drinks to purchase. The Theater is well located in Asheville Downtown wich is convenient if you go on the evening and want to go out for dinner or drinks afterwards.

Foreign flicks, independent films, and newly released. It's like having the Angelika Film Center in my hometown. And to top it off, you can have a beer with your popcorn. Perfect!

Very clean and tons of leg room made for a very comfortable movie viewing venue. Loved the movie "Samsara" to boot... Husband enjoyed his beer and I enjoyed my orangina. Nice to have choices beyond popcorn candy and soda... Overall loved this theatre and the movies they show.

This is a great venue in an older saved theatre in downtown. Movie selections are of the unique, artsy variety.
