“Delicious creative California Mexican”
Reviewed May 19, 2009

We've enjoyed a number of excellent dinners at Limones, and it was my pick for a recent birthday dinner. It didn't disapoint - I had a delicious chile relleno stuffed with eggplant, feta, and mushroom, on a bed of quite delicious millet (I think) in an interesting herbal sauce (remember this is innovative dishes, not traditional!) The tasty mango salsa and slaw that accompanied the chile relleno were excellent. My husband had an equally delicious dinner (a spicy free range chicken burrito that was WAY beyond any normal burrito). We both enjoyed an interesting twist on a caesar salad, with a refreshing light dressing. Not to mention the fruity olive oil-vinegar-toasted nut dipping sauce provided for fresh bread.

“In the top five of Asheville's best...”
Reviewed May 8, 2009

Really like this place. Been twice and both times the food, service and vibe are spot on. An Asheville converted old retail space, the look is inviting and interesting. Likewise, the menu and wine-list are vibrant and anything but cookie-cutter selections. A fresh face for seafood and the homemade truffles at check time are special... Fun and inviting, honest and homespun all at the same time. Can't wait to go back.

“Great Food, but a drunk patron blew our eveing.”
Reviewed April 14, 2009

I visited here with clients for the first time in March. The service was quick and good and the drinks were really unique and tasty. There was a table of three, two gals and a guy who might have known the staff up by the bar. Occasionally and for no reason, the guy would just start yelling. Everyone would stop, stare and then go on about there business. The third time it happened, a server came from the bar and I guess told him to get it together. The food was wonderful and my California clients loved it. I think we would have had a total "10" had the staff been able to get the intoxicated fellow under control sooner. I will go back.

“Will definetly be back”
Reviewed February 25, 2009

What can I say, but simply, I loved it. I sampled everyones plates, and loved them all. What was even better than the food was the great service. Couldnt believe how attentive, how informative, and how good the waiters suggestions were.
Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Just go in, close your eyes, and take yourself South of the border. Open them up, and youd think just strolled into a nice little mexican restaurant on Cozumel.
Have fun
