“Perfect, to say the least!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

From the second we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and at home. It's more like an Inn then hotel; the entire weekend seemed like we rented the whole building! We came and went through a keypad entryway (which is NICE to know we are safe in the building!) to a quiet building meant just for us. We stayed in room 205 (6 of us ladies there for a bachelorette party). We had PLENTY of room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. The beds and decor feel so whimsical and honey :) I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the convenience and beauty of Asheville!

The rooms are the best. The price is the most reasonable for a premium hotel. The service is the most complete in town. The managers are eager to please you. They seem to love pleasing their guests.

This hotel will soon be so busy you might not get a room so book now and get in while you can!

Room Tip: Room 318 is my favorite

We attended the grand opening of the fabulous Windsor Boutique Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina last evening. From the moment we walked in the door we felt right at home and we were captivated by the charming Parisian style decor in every room. The collection of local art was world class! One could spend weeks here without ever having to send for your car. Shops, galleries, great restaurants and boutiques are just steps away. The management and staff were beyond pleasant and so knowledgeable and professional. We plan to be regulars here!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautifully decorated but the third floor is really grand!

The Windsor recently opened, our stay was their second weekend, and it was a wonderful experience. Nina, the person running the hotel, will make sure your stay is five stars. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the hotel has been wonderfully restored and the location is the best in town. From top to bottom this place has it all and Nina will take wonderful care of you. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Every room has something wonderful to offer

Girlfriends and I spent the evening at the Windsor and had a blast. The location is perfect yet we didn't want to leave our well appointed room with its comfortable and funky ambiance. We loved the fresh air from big windows, local products, artwork and of course the decadent personal products.

Room Tip: You might want to specify if you want a quiet room or one with a view (and noise) of the vibrant dow...

I am beyond thrilled at booking this hotel. I feel like I've found a gem in a field of poor options! I've never written a review for somewhere I haven't even been yet, but I felt like I just had to for the following reasons -

A. Value - for the price it would have cost me for ONE room in a standard hotel at one of the more "well known" hotels (Indigo, Renaissance, Grande Bohemian), we have booked an entire one bedroom condo at the Windsor. This is great news considering I am traveling with my daughter and mother. If one night, someone is too tired to eat out, once again, we actually have a kitchen and dining area to have a meal in. You can't do that nearly as well in a regular hotel room.

B. Location - could we BE any closer to all of the restaurants and shops that we are specifically traveling to Asheville for? Nope.

C. Customer service - between Nina and LeAnne today, I've gotten prompt return phone calls, all of my questions answered, AND the recommendation of the best room in the building.

I've stayed at the Indigo, Renaissance, and Grande Bohemian in other parts of the country and can honestly say I've never felt as "warm and fuzzy" about staying at any of THEIR locations.
Look out Asheville - seems like your big chains are getting a run for their money!

In my many travels to Asheville, I have stayed in hotels and rented homes and The Windsor is hands down the BEST place to stay. I had the good fortune to be one of the first people to stay in this boutique hotel and have toured every single room. All I can say in AMAZING. Hands down the nicest hotel in Asheville. No competition when it comes to this property.

The design was originally for high end one bedroom condos. So every room has a full bedroom, gorgeous bath, plenty of closet space, a full kitchen, and living room area. The rooms are very luxurious with very high end furniture and design. You will find local artwork and Parisian antiques which make it the perfect eclectic mix of luxury and charm. You can even purchase the local artwork which is amazing and totally supports the Go Local culture of Asheville.

The space is very clean and luxurious. You can either get a great view of the bars and restaurants around you or stay in a more private room. They have it all.

As far as location, it is PERFECT. You can walk to everything in Downtown Asheville. We parked our car and NEVER needed it again. Mellow Mushroom is across the street, Five Walnut is up the road, and more bars, restaurants, galleries than you could fit in a weekend. Good news is this place is perfectly suited for longer stays.

I almost hesitated to write this review becauseI know once the secret gets out, this place will be booked solid. Best stay in Asheville. I will be back.

Thanks to the Windsor for the best girls weekend EVER!!
