“Unexpected delight!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

The Lobster Trap wasn't on our radar on a recent trip to Asheville but the 1/2 price bottle of wine special drew us in. Not only did we get to have a wonderful bottle of wine but an excellent meal to accompany it!
We started with a dozen of seasonal east coast oysters. The plate contained 5 different types, each labeled so that we knew where they were from / species. Delicious!
I enjoyed the Cioppino which was so full of seafood I could barely eat it all. My husband enjoyed a steak with a wonderful sauce. The assortment of sides it really creative and would love to try more of them.
You may not be thinking seafood when visiting Asheville, but you will not be disappointed if you make the Lobster Trap your dining choice.

Came in on a special priced oyster night and everything was great. Variety of oysters for Asheville is very good. Prompt service and live music made the evening special.

“Good, fresh seafood at a reasonable price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

We and 2 other couples went to the Lobster Trap last week. They seated us in a huge booth, which had plenty of room for all 6 of us and made it easy to talk. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had crabcakes which were pretty much all crab, very little filler, with a nice sauce. For sides I had the lobster mac and cheese and brussel sprouts nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Asheville.

“Love the Seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

We loved this place! The scallops were tender and seasoned to perfection! Our server was friendly and really acommodating to our table of 6, despite it being quite crowded in the restaurant. Everyone in our group LOVED their meal.
