We made a reservation...which I recommend at this bistro as it is small but we'll worth it. We arrived and were seated right away. The server Sarah was excellent...my husband ordered cuvee which they did not have , he then ordered a Chablis, which turns out to be last of the bottle...so she offered the glass for free...very nice. I had a heirloom tomato salad to start a.d husband had cold tomato soup...both were top notch...for dinner ..I had Bolognese and husband had pork. Again they were great and just the right size. Desert was Pot de Creme....Omg....it was Great......We will go again next time we are in Asheville.....try it you will not be disappointed....

My wife and two small kids (11& 7) and I had dinner Saturday evening. Very nice night. Small space, but not cramped with great service. Kind of a limited menu, but very good food. Salads were good, PEI's were excellent, and the flounder was amazing. Desserts were very good, and appropriately sized. Only rated as average due to we were the only people there on Saturday with kids. If your kids are well behaved, they'd love to have them.

We stopped in for lunch after the morning at the estate and found it decently busy for a midweek day, which is usally a good sign. The staff was nice and attentive. We shared some of the pommes frites to begin and they were excellent, just enough truffle flavor to make you want more. The wife had the quiche of the day and it was fantastic. I have a newfound appreciation for those now. I had the farfalle which was excellent, nice light sauce that was full of flavor but didn't over do it. All in all a great meal, would love to try for dinner when back in town.

We were in Asheville for one night and did our normal thing of looking for a restaurant turning out good food with local ingredients. Fig Bistro fit the bill and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is relatively small, so has a nice, intimate feel. Service is excellent and the menu diverse. Unlike so many restaurants these days, cocktails were well-made and generous. Appetizers, especially the heirloom tomatoes, were excellent. Steak and salmon entrees were very good, if not quite to the same high level (salmon a little overcooked and steak seemed small for the price). Bread pudding for dessert was, again, excellent. Price was very reasonable. All in all, well worth a visit.

Small quaint place with outdoor seating to get away from traffic around Biltmore. Food was very good and excellent waitress. Great French rose also.
