We didn't really know what to expect when we decided to stay at Wind In the Willows. We really wonder what we getting into when we first drove through the neighbor to get to the resort. The cabin was so nice that we decided to spend all of our time at the cabin.
It was so close to all of the attractions in the Ashville area.
we hope that we can come back and we've told all of our friends.

This is the second time I've stayed at Willow Winds. The cabins are spotlessly clean, stocked with food if you wish, and sitting on a beautiful lake filled with trout. The cabins sit in the middle of lovely greenery and flowers but within a few miles is the entire town of Asheville with shopping, beautiful walks through historical areas, and the Biltmore. Not much gas required, and then drive back to a cabin with peace and quiet. The cabins have full amenities. The staff is always ready to be helpful. The hot tubs on the back decks are hard to get out of, as well as the new pillow top mattresses. There is nothing I can say against this vacation. I'm going back as soon as I can. Asheville is a very family friendly town, as are the different size cabins to meet your family size needs. My favorite is Chris' cabin because a vacation for me is leaving my teenagers at home!

  • Liked — Peace and quiet close to busy shopping areas and great foods.
  • Disliked — We could have eaten two tins of the free cookies instead of just one!!

We loved the Willow Winds (Tom's Trophy); the only things we were unhappy with was the lack of kitchen equipment (baking dishes, cookie sheets, mixer, etc.) and the electric b.b.q. grill (it looked cool but left food tasting unsavory).

Everything was better than expected, though we got a good feeling from Tripadvisor and our reservation experience. They had a crib, internet cable, and they had new release movies on dvd for free. Staff was very helpful, recommended the "country corner" for breakfast in Biltmore Village. They even gave us 10% off coupons. We ate there 3 days in a row, it was so delicous.
This is the perfect spot to get away, yet be just a couple of minutes from the Biltmore Estate gates and just a couple of more to being downtown. This is a great place overall. We stayed 4 nights in "Michael's Hideway" which is the next from last cabin at the end of a lane. We overlooked a small pond with fountain, nice to hear running water. The size of the cabin was good, good amenities, clean, good quality on everything. The hot tub was wonderful for the end of the day aches and pains. We will stay again, next time for longer. Easy access to highways and just a short hike up to the AT trail from the cabin.

  • Liked — Home like comforts, secluded yet close to everything, hot tub, lcd tv.
  • Disliked — Slow internet. Upstairs was warm, while sleeping quarters were downstairs and colder.

We stayed at Gregg's Getaway for three nights. The location, aminites and cottage were perfect. It gave us the secluded feel we needed without being far from the city of Asheville. Staff were very helpful and wonderful. Highly recommended! Thanks Mary

Excellent stay! We flew in from England (UK) for a Motor Bike tour of North Carolina's The Parkway and booked 5 nights at Blowing Rock's Chetola Park, our stay there was luxurious and met all our requirements and thought, "how can it get any better?"....well it did....we liked Willow Winds soooo much, it was the high light of all the Hotels/Suites/Condominiums during our 2 weeks stay. We arrived at Willow Winds after a long travel and was greeted by a real nice friendly lady who joked and explained everything we needed to know. Up through and around the winding paths of the Woodland we found our Cabin (Jessie's Magnolia) and what a delight. We soon forgot how tired we were. By the end of the day we were soon settled in with all its comforts, whirlpool and splendid views listening to the Birds and wild life. We were along way from home, but home was here now....don't change a thing! Thank You for making our Holiday.

My sisters and I were looking for a place to spend a sisters weekend and found Willow Winds. And WOW. How awesome it is. We stayed in Jackie's Gem and what a gem it is.
The veiw is beautiful, the trails are great and the Mary in the office and everyone at the compound was so friendly. I felt as if I had been coming there for years. Always a smile and hello from everyone I passed. I would of stayed longer if I could.
We are planning to bring the husbands back in the fall.
I would recomend this place to everyone I know.
Thanks for a great getaway.
