My husband and I visited the Princess Anne for our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The staff was very friendly, the breakfasts were great (although my husband complained because he did not like the lavender in his crepe, I liked it though which is just a matter of taste), and our room was great. We stayed in room 207 and it was very spacious with three rooms not including the bathroom. The Princess Anne is very convenient off the interstate, but we chose to drive into downtown because it was about a 20 minute non scenic walk. We just drove about 5 minutes into downtown and parked behind the civic center which was about $1 a day!! We stayed in downtown several years ago, but enjoyed being slightly out of downtown because it was much more quiet and relaxing. The Princess Anne was quaint, quiet, and had a wonderful porch to sit on and relax while we enjoyed the great complementary wine and cheese. We will definitely stay at the Princess Anne when we return to Asheville.
