I visited this falls with a friend who is a local, so can't give you the exact driving directions, but this falls is on a side road off the main road to Linville Caverns and Linville Falls. A short drive down the paved side road is a parking area, and the trailhead. A hike of about a half-mile on a well-maintained trail brings you to the falls, where you can climb down and walk up to the falls. The trail is being widened and gentle switchbacks make the inclines more user friendly. Several hikers had their dogs with them, and this trail is a good one for a leisurely stroll with fido or fifi. The trail is near Tom's Creek and there are many good opportunities, given enough water, to photograph water running over the rocks. There is also a lot of mica on the trail, sometimes in rather big flakes, and an abandoned stone structure at the end of the trial. I highly recommend that you try to find this falls and take the time to enjoy a delightful walk in the woods.
