“Stay here if going to Biltmore and you like B&Bs”
Reviewed May 15, 2011

Stayed four days here at this small bed and breakfast and loved every minute of it. The owners are gourmet chefs and serve up a breakfast that can't be beat. It's outside the city in a wooded setting and is so peaceful. Rooms are clean and spacious and most have their own bathrooms. I will stay here again and highly recommend it. It's close to the Biltmore Estate and many parks for hiking.

Room Tip: Take the larger suite at the end of the hall.

Crooked Oak offers the peace and relaxation of a mountain getaway -- but is close enough to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy good food, the arts, and outdoor adventure. We hiked, biked, ate wonderful local food, relaxed in the Inn's gardens (loved the hammock!), and enjoyed delicious breakfasts in a beautiful great room with incredible forest views. Patti and Bear, the innkeepers, are friendly, yet professional, and offered a perfect long weekend getaway.

Wonderful outdoor patio, seclusion, great food, cozy indoor atmosphere and friendly helpful owners who provide a pleasant stay with a smile. I will be returning and sending friends and family as well.

My Mom, siblings, nieces and nephew stayed here when visiting over Easter weekend and all gave rave reviews and promised returns! Patti and Bear, the proprietors, served a special brunch on Easter morning just for the 10 of us and the quiche was perhaps the best thing I've put in my mouth, or maybe it was Bear's special waffles. All served with love and gracious humor! Thanks y'all!

This was our first time visiting the Crooked Oak & hopefully will not be the last! Very easy drive from NJ and great directions from Bear we glided right to the Inn. Quiet, peaceful and so relaxing! Our rm was great, felt like we were in a tree house! Linens and bath accessories were sensational. Loved the "goodies" in the sitting area. Candy and cold bottles of water & soda for the taking. Great to have a cold bottle of water before heading out on a Asheville adventure. Breakfast was yummy! Patti & Bear are so dear. They went above and beyond as they greeted us into their home, Have recommended this special place to all I know. I feel more relaxed just thinking back to this treasurer. Treat yourself to this special place.

I have been coming back to the Crooked Oak Mtn Inn for four years now and I admit, it is starting to feel like a second home. Patti and Bear the Inn Keepers provide consistently excellent service to their customers and they made me feel like family. The grounds of the Inn are beautiful. It is hard to decide which area I like the most but I have to say the stone patio by the fountain that overlooks the NC mountains is not to be missed. Grab a glass of wine and relax in the rocking chairs or hammock and dream your evenings away under those Carolina blue skies. Or curl up in the den with a good movie and a fire in the fireplace next to you. Or crawl into the softest sheets and blankets and count on sweet dreams to come to you. And I can't say enough about the amazing breakfast we had each morning! You won't find a better breakfast in Asheville.

Room Tip: Every room is perfect and will fit your mood~
