My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying at a Bed of Roses in Asheville. Bill and Emily were excellent hosts as they were full of reccomendations on things to do and see as well as restaurants to dine at. Speaking of food, Emily cooked an amazing breakfast for us both days. We stayed in a different room each night and both were lovely and unique. The location is great also as it's a short walk (Just under 10 minutes) to downtown Asheville. I highly reccomend staying here.

We were staying in North Carolina with a relative and decided to drive to Asheville, stay a night at a guest house, drive The Blue Ridge Parkway to Blowing Rock and stay another night in a guest house in Blowing Rock. It was a perfect trip. We arrived at A Bed of Roses B&B and were given a very warm welcome by Bill and Emily who are a charming couple. We spent the afternoon exploring Asheville and its interesting shops and beautiful buildings, then walked back to A Bed of Roses to have a glass of wine on the terrace whilst the sun was setting. It was lovely to sit overlooking the beautiful garden. After changing we walked back into Asheville centre for dinner on Pax Square. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the restaurant passing some very interesting houses in the historic district of town.
Our room was perfect with an extremely comfortable four poster bed. It had all the facilities one could want including bath, shower, fluffy robes etc. There was air conditioning if needed but we chose to sleep with the window open as it had a grill to prevent insects coming in.
Breafast next morning at 9am was wonderful. It was served in a very elegant dinning room by Bill and Emily. The table was laid with beautiful china and glassware. We had fresh fruit with an almond cream, followed by a main course of a quiche, grilled smoked sausage, corn bread, apple salsa with a garnish of tomato and pepper - all freshly cooked. Cranberry juice and coffee were also served. It was a feast. There were 6 other guests and there was lots of good conversation around the table.
When we visit Asheville again we shall certainly stay with Bill and Emily at A Bed of Roses - we found it a delightful place to stay.

My husband and I love B & B's, and Bed of Roses did not disappoint. We stayed two nights and it was wonderful and homey. Bill and Emily were so gracious. I had fallen in Charleston the day before and I was banged up, and Bill and Emily went out of their way to be helpful. Every morning we had coffee on the lovely porch, then ate a scrumptious breakfast. After those breakfasts, you will not need lunch! We loved the city of Asheville, including Biltmore, and Bed of Roses helped make a wonderful experience better!

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong. Our room had a fireplace and canopy bed.

We try to stay at B&Bs as much as we can when we travel. When we find one that excels we like to share the info. A Bed of Roses in Asheville is such a B&B. Our suite was lovely as were the other rooms. It's a grand Victorian with modern touches (such as whirlpool tubs!) The owners - Emily & Bill - are terrific hosts ...and great cooks. We had gourmet breakfasts every morning that held off our appetites until dinner. We really enjoyed the warm hospitality and historic location of this B&B.

Room Tip: Check out theiwebsite - the room pictures and descriptions are very helpful and realistically depict the various rooms.

We stayed two nights at this Victorian B&B and the money was definitely well spent. This was by far the most reasonably priced bed and breakfast we looked at, but not only that the house and room were beautiful and the food every morning was amazing! One sentence, orange marmalade infused cream cheese stuffed french toast. Yes, yes, yes! Breakfast with the other guest was filled with pleasant conversations and stories.Emily and Bill were incredibly nice and accomodating and were quick to help us with directions or dinner recommendations. The house itself is extremely close to downtown, which is a good thing with Asheville's beer scene.

Honestly I wonderful experience in every single way; stay at this place to get a truly Asheville experience.
