We didn't get to stay long due to the rain but what we did see was a community of small shops and restaurants nestled in a cute little community outside of The Biltmore Estate. Parking on the streets and great place to spend an few hours.

We love to shop around and grab a quick bite in this area. The whole area of Asheville is full of fun and interesting places to see.

Visited the Biltmore Inn in early spring. The gardens were not in bloom yet but the views were spectacular, the dining pretty good and the shopping was great. Did a behind the scenes tour of the grand old house. Think the day tour was better. Except for one thing. Got a chance to see how the place was heated and cooled and supplied with electricity. Now that was ingenious.
Visited the shops downtown and in the shopping area outside. Visited a wearable art shop. The ladies there were delightful and the clothes are like nothing I've ever worn before. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The area is nice but I was expecting more, since it's advertised as a world renowned place to shop. In addition, the shops are pretty pricey. The two good things are the free parking, and the Christmas shop!

But the prices were on the high side. Still worth a couple of hours of your time if you are staying in Asheville. We loved our breakfast at the Corner Cafe.
