My husband hates to shop... but, enjoys the small boutique and artsy shops. We had a lovely stroll and stopped for lunch at one of the restaurants located there in the village. He bought more than I did and said it was a highlight of our trip to Asheville. The village is a great place for couples, a girls day out ,or even for some time alone to shop and escape the busy pace of life.

If, like me, you detest shopping malls and "big boxes", take your guests and stroll this area for an afternoon. Fabulous food in many venues and art objects to drool for!

Quaint little shops and cobblestone walks, very picturesque. Nice places to eat. We were there for a couple of hours and enjoyed every minute.

Biltmore Village was a housing community mostly for the married house staff of Biltmore House. It had a hospital, post office, school, and church. The church is active still. The houses have been converted into specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
Parking is a pain sometimes. There are several one way streets.

We wandered around this quaint village, which was very near our RV Resort. It has more shops than you care to visit with some pretty expensive items to grace your home. We had breakfast at the Corner Kitchen which was nice...needed the energy to complete a "good walk spoiled". No, seriously, if you enjoy browsing through some high end shops you will love this place along with the architecture of the buildings. plenty of places to rest while the wife drools over the wares. Not many people there when we were visiting, but it was early in the day. We went back one evening and the place was buzzing..all I could afford was an ice cream.
