“What a wonderful place to stay!!!”
Reviewed August 23, 2010

Our stay at the Asheville Cottages was one of the most enjoyable stays we have every had. The attention to detail was incredible and the cottage was immaculate. From the heated tile and towel warmer in the bathroom to the hot tub on the deck, we couldn't have asked for more. The cottage was beautifully furnished, with every amenity you could think of. I especially enjoyed having my coffee on the front porch rocker every morning. The cottages were centrally located and in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend the cottages to anyone who is staying in the Asheville area!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights the last week of July. When we walked in the door we knew right away we had made the right lodging choice. The cottage is beautifully decorated and was extremely clean. Our every need and want had been anticipated. The basket of goodies and juice in the fridge came in really handy to take on those morning hikes. The location was very convenient and quiet; we had neighbors in the unit next door and never heard any noise at all. It was the perfect place to come "home" to after our being outdoors all day. If you like spicy food make sure you visit Nine Mile Restaurant...we ate there twice and I still think about it!

My husband, myself and 2 10-year olds stayed at the Aspen unit while visiting Asheville. Upon opening the door we were really suprised to see the hardwood floors, the huge dining and kitchen area, overall a beautiful layout. Everything was as promised. Quiet and peaceful, all we needed were groceries. The bedroom was elegant and very private, even with the kids sleeping in the pull out sofa in the living area, and the deck off the bedroom with the hot tub, also completely private. We liked having our own door to the bathroom, which with the heated towel bars and floor, was heavenly. The setting was good - we could not see into any other unit, so it felt very calm. Sitting on the front porch in the rockers was just as nice. We intend to go back as a couple next year.

We stayed in the blue ridge and it was like staying at home but nicer. The hot tub and the fireplace were really nice extras, plus they leave an assortment of teas and some goodies for breakfast there. The bed was really comfortable and so was the couch, and the televisions had dish network so there were hundreds of channels. Everything was wonderful and comfortable.

If you want to be right in the mountains this is not the place but if you want the convenience of being only 15 minutes or so from downtown Asheville while only 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway this is the place for you. It has a very convenient location for doing a little of everything whether it is hiking or going out to a nice dinner or so on. The view from our back yard was woods which made it really nice to sit in the hot tub in the evening.

There are two other cottages in this particular spot but we never saw our neighbors except when we were leaving to go out or returning and it is a nice quiet neighborhood in general. Love this place and will be going back!

My husband and I love to travel and stopped to stay at Asheville Cottages at the tail end of our honeymoon for a two-night stay in the Poplar Cottage. The cottage went above and beyond our expectations with every luxurious amenity that we could think of (heated bathroom floors, heated towel rack, bathrobes, hot tub, iPod speakers in bed, full washer and dryer, brand new kitchen appliances, complimentary snacks, cable TV, fireplace, etc). We originally had said we would never vacation in the same spot twice, so that we are able to experience many places. However, after staying in this cottage, we have decided to make an exception so that we can stay at the Asheville Cottages again! We hope to revisit in the fall when the trees are changing. Marshall and Tracie Manche (owners of Asheville Cottages) do a fantastic job of creating a luxurious cottage getaway!

My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary at Asheville Cottages. It was the perfect blend of quiet comfort and rustic charm for our special weekend. Cottage was very clean and had special feature like a Sleep Number Music Bed and hot tub on the back deck. We saw a family of wild turkeys walk by our deck one morning which made us feel like we were way out in the country. This cottage is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboreum and only 15 minutes from the Asheville airport. We traveled to Sliding Rock on Sunday and enjoyed the cool of the Pigsah National Forest. Don't miss pizza at the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Asheville.
