We took a mini-vacay for our anniversary this year and chose Asheville. For a change, we opted for a cabin rental (over a B&B or hotel we typically book there) which turned out to be a great choice. The 1BR cottage we rented was spotless - even the hot tub! Even when a rental house is clean, the hot tubs are almost never clean enough for me to use. The weather was cold and rainy (there was a car rescue due to flooding during our visit!) so it was wonderful to enjoy the covered hot tub and the fireplace at the cabin! I picked up some local gluten-free baked goods to enjoy at b'fast and the cabin was even stocked with gluten-free snacks - so thoughtful! The kitchen had everything you'd need to prepare any meal. The spacious bathroom had two windows and was stocked with great upscale toiletries that were also environmentally friendly!

Our fave resto there is Posana Cafe, but they were closed for renovations during our trip. Thankfully, we had great gluten-free experiences at Corner Kitchen (gf bagels for brunch!), Bouchon (gf fries!), Fig Bistro (killer gourmet anniversary dinner) and the White Duck Taco Shop (best and most interesting tacos we've had in years)! The crepe place owned by / next to Bouchon was closed so we didn't get to try their gf crepes. The Indian tea house a few doors down from Bouchon had killer gf tea cookies, but the cakes we tried weren't impressive.

For the money, the Asheville Cottage we rented was an exceptional value! When we go back to enjoy Posana Cafe again, we will definitely stay there again!

Asheville Cottages are beautifully decorated with soothing earth tones. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage. The kitchen is well appointed if you choose to cook. The bed is comfortable. Nice gas fireplace in the living room. Best of all a soothing hot tub on the private back porch. Everything is very clean. It feels very comfortable, just like home. The cottages are conveniently located close to restaurants, Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Asheville Cottages and it was the perfect getaway. We have since recommended it to several people. The cottages are beautifully decorated and cozy. They went over and above our expectations and we hope to come back again soon.

We booked on line for a five night stay. When we arrived, a trip to the FastMed clinic showed that the pain in my husband's ankle was actually a broken leg! A day at the Mission Hospital ER left him with a splint and instructions to stay off the foot until we could get back home to our Ortho. If we had stayed anywhere else, we would have been on the road back to Little Rock the next day. The cottage was so well located and well designed that we decided to rest in place for the remainder of our planned visit. The ability to cook delicious meals at home, sleep in an amazingly comfortable bed, next to roomy bathroom with heated floors made the stay as comfortable as being at home. Because of the high-speed secure internet connection, I actually got some work done while my husband slept in. We still had the opportunity to do a couple of "driving tours" and thoroughly enjoyed the area in spite of physical limitations. The cottage was SPOTLESS. I felt as if we were the only people to ever occupy the beautiful Maple. Too bad we never got to use the hot tub (ha). We definitely want to plan a return visit and would not think of staying anywhere but at Asheville Cottages.

I found ASHEVILLE COTTAGES when looking on VRBO.com for a place to stay with a group of friends for a weekend away. I can say that the pictures do not even do it justice as to how clean and beautiful the cottages are!!! It was truly BETTER than a home away from home! It was so cozy and having the grill and hot tube were wonderful ways to relax that weekend. I have already recommended others staying there! MUCH better value for the money than staying in a hotel and the location was super convenient to downtown Asheville. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I spent a great deal of time on line looking for the perfect spot in Asheville for our 4th anniversary. Let met tell you, I wasn't disappointed. Asheville Cottages is everything and more.

We stayed in the Maple cottage and the first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean and well maintained the cottage was. The hot tub, the sleep number bed, heated towel rack ,and heated bathroom floors were divine. Everything was well appointed and well stocked. There were soft drinks and juice in the fridge. The owners had even provided us with a lovely bottle of grape juice for our anniversary.

While in Asehville, I saw a few of the inns, etc. I'd looked at on line and was glad that we stayed at Asheville Cottages because there were no surprises. The places I'd looked at were lovely on line, but after seeing the actual locations, most were still lovely, but didn't look like they were in a safe area. Some were actually scary. Not so at Asheville Cottages. First class all the way.

From the hot tub we saw bunnies and cardinals and on the way out, we met a lovely bovine in the field!

Thanks to Marshall and Tracie for such a lovely visit.

Kim

This is our second time staying at these cottages and we want to stay every year. We stayed here for the first time on our 10th anniversary and are hooked. Excellent amenities, very clean and luxurious. Also found a new restaurant, Papas and Beer! Great stay and we know we'll stay again. The owners are incredibly easy to work with and we had everything we needed.
