“Hmm hmm good!”

The oyster salad was great here. The oysters were breaded perfectly and the salad was delicious. My pomegranate mimosa didn’t seem to have much pomegranate in it but it tasted good. I would come back here again.

“Top notch dining experience”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

Took the family for a holiday meal here and received rave reviews from everybody. Quality food, well prepared, located in historic Biltmore Village area where you can walk to numerous shops. It is on the expensive side but well worth the dining experience. Locally owed with a great reputation. You will not be disappointed.

“Wonderful meal and great service”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

Wonderful meal, great service, and very interesting ambience! We were referred by the desk person at our hotel. We walked in and the restaurant was pretty crowded, but the hostess said she had seating for two at the bar right away. It was perfect because we had a great view of the restaurant and people and the bartender/our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. My husband and I shared his entrée and my appetizer for a great meal. When in Asheville again, we'll definitely go back!

“Excellent place for brunch and lunch”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

I have eaten here twice and both times were excellent experiences. Menu is creative and has something for everyone - salads, sandwiches, soups, yummy desserts. They are always crowded but usually you can find a seat at the bar. Service is prompt and friendly. I had the Ploughman's lunch today which featured corn and crab chowder, pesto ciabatta, four cheeses, a delicious salad and roasted portobello. My husband got the Reuben and he says it's very good. Great wine and beer selection with local favorites. I highly recommend if you are in the Biltmore Village area.

“hidden gem in Biltmore Village”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

You take risks dining in a converted private house that's grown popular & expanded wherever it could (porches, garden), but the food was worth it. I ordered a "safe" Reuben sandwich with a local Weeping Willow Wit (wheat) beer and my partner had an oyster salad- but we both agreed the quality was top-rate & despite the bustle & cramped circumstances, the food was the real experience. There may be no way to enlarge or serve more people with top-restaurant ambiance but the homey atmosphere combined with friendly service also conveyed a sense of tradition and commitment. We'll be back.
