“Glad we took a chance!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014

We happened to be in the Towne Square area to shop and walk around on a February Saturday that was unusually warm. It was lunchtime, we were in the mood for casual, so took a chance on BT Burgers. We were very glad we did. I don't know why but I was pleasantly surprised when my burger came to the table exactly as I ordered it - perfectly medium well. It seems that with most burgers no matter what I order it comes to me as the cook chooses - this was exactly to order and was delicious. Refills on drinks came round as often as needed, and the staff was very friendly and helpful in ordering.
Did not give 5 stars because fries were just not up to the same quality as the burgers. They were okay, but nothing special. I prefer the fries at 5 Guys - but, that's just me. And, the modern interior (acoustics) does make conversation a bit difficult when lots of people are in the restaurant.

“Good Casual Fast Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Burgers, fries and shakes are the featured items on their menu. My burgers was fresh and well cooked, fries were hand cut and not greasy, the shake was up to most people's standards or somewhat better. Interior of the restaurant is a clean, modern - industrial look with individual tables and booths. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. Staff went out of their way to be pleasant and to check back with you. Pricing is a little tricky, but reasonable. You can order you burger or a salad in a standard offering - or, you can order al a carte - adding (some free - some priced) condiments and extra ingredients of your own choice. Fries are priced as a side. Parking is mostly on the street near the Hilton Hotel and the movie theater in the Biltmore Park Town Square in south Asheville - exit 37 off of I-26. In colder or rainy weather, there is a parking garage adjoining the movie theater that leaves you with a short walk to the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant - it's on a par with other gourmet burger and fries restaurants like French Fryz and Burger 21 - and better in my opinion than Five Guys.

“great burgers in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013

You would expect that in a location like Biltmore Towne Square for some of the restaurants to overcharge since they know you're not going anywhere else, but BT Burgers doesn't do that. Reasonable prices for a great, cooked-to-order burger - just remember to ask for lettuce, tomato and (red) onions, because if you don't, the burger will not have them as they're not standard like elsewhere. Everything is a la carte. Pretzel burger was great, along with the half-and-half tots and sweet potato fries - the latter is more than enough to share with someone else, too. Really liked the way the bacon was large, crispy pieces rather than a strip that you pull out with the first bite. Not too fond of the honey-butter (tasted a bit like it had freezer burn) drizzled on the sweet potato fries, but if you get it on the side, you can forgo it if you don't like it either. Try the BT "spicy" sauce instead - it's more savory than spicy, but great both on your burger and as a dipping sauce for the tots, fries or sweet potato fries.
There can be a line, but realize that they may not rush the line because there's limited seating in the restaurant, and the burgers take a while to cook to your specific orders. It's not McDonald's - if you want that two minute service, then that's a short drive out of the complex. Manager Paul explained this politely when someone in line had complained. I mean, do you really want to have to eat standing up or have someone stand over you while you're trying to eat a really, good burger? When they get busy, you'll have to be more proactive about refills and such, but for the price, overall it was very filling for both the stomach and wallet. And what can beat walking a block over to B&N to browse or two blocks down to catch a movie while digesting your lunch?

“Great Burger - Bad Sounds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

The burger was great. You build your own, same with salads. Tell them how to cook it and what to add. They bring it to your table and a terrific on the drink refills. Fries were simply delicious. They do need to add an appetizer such as a soup alternative, as one burger may not be enough to fill you, and two would be overkill. The problem is one involving sound: The place has 30 foot ceilings and every sound echoes off the glass windows, solid floor, walls and ceilings. You can barely carry on a conversation with a person at your own table. Oh, allow plenty of time to find a parking spot as they are few and far between. I commend these folks for really trying, but something needs to be done about the sound to get us back.
