What happens when your spring break falls a little early? Spring had not "sprung" in Asheville, but that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our stay at the beautiful Biltmore Village Inn. Sure we could see more flowers in a few weeks, but the crowds were low, the restaurants were uncrowded, and really...what's not to love about a graciously appointed, luxurious inn-- no matter what time of year?
We were greeted with a glass of wine and a tour of the home, settled into the lovely penthouse rooms, and proceeded to enjoy every second of our 3 night stay.
The food is prepared by an on-site professional chef whose skill and presentation rival any that you've enjoyed in nationally rated restaurant. Three course breakfasts, served joyfully by the hostesses, ensured every day got off to just the right start. Huevos rancheros, steak with merlot sauce, banana bread french toast, and creamy polenta were just a few of the breakfast delights.
We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: They are all beautiful! The penthouse, with the tower reading nook, was spacious and gorgeous.

My family surprised me for my 70th birthday with a night's stay in the Reed Room, private dinner, and breakfast at the Biltmore Village Inn. I believe Monica, who helped our daughters plan the visit for me and my husband, was just as excited as we were with the special touches provided by her and the staff. John, our chef, served us a five course gourmet dinner that was fit for a king and queen. The young staff was extremely well trained in all aspects of hospitality and able to answer our questions about the history of the Samuel Reed House and area. It was a lovely experience in every way.

My wife and I stayed at the Biltmore Village Inn from December 31, 2012 through January 3, 2013 to celebrate the New Year and our anniversary, and our stay could not have been any better! From the incredible New Year's dinner (complete with steak, lobster and champagne, and excellent live music) to the beautiful and immaculate Biltmore Suite (two very comfortable rooms with fireplaces, great views), it truly was one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had.

We looked forward to breakfasts every day - different each day and delicious each time. And Monica and Vanessa were perfect hostesses. The House is in perfect condition and has a fascinating history. We also took advantage of the discounted Biltmore Estate ticket packages offered by the Inn and attended the stunning Biltmore Candlelight Christmas tour. You can't get closer to the Biltmore Estate unless you stay on the Estate itself.

We will definitely be back...in fact, I was on Tripadvisor to look again at the Biltmore Village Inn as I plan another trip to Asheville when I noticed I had neglected to post a review, so here it is. As I say in the title, we HIGHLY recommend it!

Room Tip: We looked in many of the rooms and they were all beautiful. We truly enjoyed the Biltmore Suite as...

We stayed in the Honeymoon suite with cozy gas fireplaces, heart-shaped excellent jacuzzi. Our cottage looked out onto a gazebo, with fire pit, onto the beauty of smokey blue mountains. Just a few minutes away is Biltmore House, the largest mansion in America, which rivals the chateaux of France and the stately homes of England. We experienced the epitome of southern hospitality. The talented chefs at our "home away from home" prepared outstanding breakfasts and there was complementary wine, cheese and cold meats in the evening. Monica and Vanessa go beyond the call of duty to make the stay memorable. Very pet-friendly (we travelled with a poodle). Recommended for any occasion! Of the many hundreds of accommodations that we have visited in the Americas, Europe and around the world, this rates in the top 1% in our books.

Thank you Tripadvisor once more. Looking for a knock out place for our 25th Anniversary and the Biltmore Village Inn was it. Monica and Vanessa were the best. Friendly, informative, going beyond the norm to make our stay not just special, but extra special. Arriving at our room (we stayed in the Carolina Cottage about thirty steps from the main house with two bedrooms) my wife found the gorgeous red roses, Truffles , chilled bottle of champagne and Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on white serving tray. Made me look like the romantic I am! What a start. We stayed three days with the Innkeepers taking care of our Biltmore Estate tickets and behind the scene tours. The total intent of these awesome people was to make YOUR stay special. We even ate late one day and did not feel like attending the wine and cheese tasting in the house, but Monica made up a plate and left in in the fridge just for us. Wow. So much to say about this place. We did however want to take the chef home with us. Going to miss greatly the Off The Wall three course breakfasts at nine each morning! Well worth every penny.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to the Biltmore Village Inn. We went to celebrate our 13th anniversary, and could not have asked for a better experience. Upon arrival, we were met at the door by Vanessa, and Innkeeper Monica. They both introduced themselves, and then Vanessa took us on a fascinating tour of the house, giving us the history behind the property. We stayed in the Penthouse, and she made sure we were well acquainted with the room, as well as the amenities offered in the house. Before departing, she urged us to contact the staff with any need, no matter how small. At this point, we were more than impressed! The facilities are immaculate! We are extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness, and this place was truly spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and they don't skimp when it comes to details. Every need was anticipated, as the bathroom was stocked with cotton balls, q-tips, a toothbrush holder, even a pump with hand soap. The last one was a nice surprise as I have never liked using those small bars of soap to wash my hands. All the bath products were premium quality, as were the linens and robes provided in the room. The breakfasts were simply amazing. I ate every last bite of every course and even joked that I was considering licking my plate. In the afternoon, they offer fresh baked cookies, as well as a spread of cheese, crackers, olives, etc. All of the staff was just as warm and friendly as they could be, from the Innkeeper, to housekeeping and maintenance. They all worked to make our stay a fabulous one! We will be back!

Room Tip: The Penthouse is the only room on the 3rd floor, so it is very quiet. It's about 800 sq ft, so...

Beautiful house and all the rooms are unique but equally nice (we were able to peek in all the rooms during our 3 day stay). We stayed in the Penthouse suite and loved the 3 different areas - BR, living room, and what we called a 'reading room'. The reading room was especially nice as it had windows all around offering some distance views and a feeling of being high on the hill (3rd floor).
The staff were all extremely attentive and helpful - Any need we had was met: dinner reservations, suggestions for antique shops, ice bucket, flower vase, OJ carafe for the room, prompt mailing of items left behind, etc. We enjoyed the brief history lesson and Mimosa upon arrival and the attentiveness shown.
The bed we slept on was blissful. We both slept so so well and the configuration of the penthouse meant limited light in the BR in addition to the fine mattress and beddings.
Breakfast each morning was a delight; different each morning but equally delicious and well presented by their part-time chef.
We will be back!!

Room Tip: Penthouse on third floor (2 flights) is large, extremely private, quiet and has a small refrigerator...
