“searching for the best b&b in asheville?”

This was our group's 7th Annual Girl's Weekend and we decided to splurge this year. Originally we were looking for a cabin but
fell in love with the website picture of the Biltmore Village Inn. We were not disappointed! Our rooms were exquisite and the service was superb. We loved the gas fireplaces in the bedrooms and even in one of the bathrooms. The Inn has been recently re-decorated and the furnishing were gorgeous and comfortable, particularly the king beds with the highest quality linens. Breakfast involved three courses and was most definately gourmet.
Being from Florida, we were hoping for brilliant fall foliage. Unfortunately, we were about a week too early. The extra pampering from the staff at the Inn made up for the lack of colorful leaves. The wine and cheese on the porch each evening also helped! Our group will move on to another state next year but several ladies in the group are looking forward to returning to the Biltmore Village Inn with their spouses. (but I bet they will want to stay in the "Honeymoon Cottage" also on the grounds.)

  • Liked — the wrap around front porch with all of the rocking chairs
  • Disliked — We had to try to be conscientious of the other guests. We can sometimes be loud and boisterous

I was nervous re: staying at a B&B, but would definitely stay at this one again. We had the Vanderbilt room & I loved it. We were greeted by Karen, the innkeeper, upon arriving, and given a quick tour of the property, along with local travel & dining tips. The rooms are pricey, but worth the money, compared with area prices & amenities. We enjoyed the other guests but didn't feel we had to socialize. I'd love to return in summer for a chance to just stay here & relax more on the porch. Wine, cheese, & crackers were put out daily at tea time. Full gourmet breakfast was served daily & cooked according to our dietary restrictions. We had access to a guest pantry 24/7. They offered complimentary chair massage Thursday evenings. BTW, Leah did an excellent job. Wireless internet is included & available property-wide. They also had a guest computer available, with internet access, again included. Property is in town, but hidden, so it feels private. Housekeeping is great, but needs to dust the top surfaces of the canopy bed & vacuum under the furniture in the dining room. We met Bob, the new owner, who was in town for high season. He's stocked the place with antiques he brought in from Europe. Another guest with lots of B&B experience said this one rated average for him. Regardless, I loved it & can't wait to return.

My husband and I stayed at the Biltmore Village Inn for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Honeymoon cottage. The BVI is a pretty, quaint old house that has been renovated to meet your modern travel needs with the feel of a warm, old fashioned bed and breakfast. We fell in love with the gorgeous wrap around porch. We set outside drinking wine and watching the sunset. In the mornings, we chose to sit at a table on the porch and were served a delicious three course breakfast. In the evenings, you have snacks, cheese and wine. Our room was wonderfully romantic (and also had a large flat panel TV hung on the wall over the fireplace!). The bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were soft (not like you find at a hotel). They even had soft robes for you to wear and a cooler in the room to keep your wine chilled. The bathroom is beautiful with a huge heart-shaped tub for two. We had a very nice bubble bath! Overall, our stay was memorable. The only complaint I have is that we were not able to stay longer. We will definitely return to the Biltmore Village Inn.

We spent our 28th anniversary at the Biltmore Village Inn and it was a wonderful experience. The Inn is quaint and comfortable. The wrap around porch is especially inviting. Breakfast is the only meal served and they do a fabulous job of making it special. The staff is extremely accommodating and the Innkeeper is a blast! Everyone was very willing to give directions, suggestions and even make our reservations for us for dinner. Each afternoon, wine and cheese was served and there was always something "good" left out for guests to snack on. We felt very much at home and will definitely make a return trip. We would highly recommend it.

This is absolutely the most beautiful and welcoming B&B in Asheville. The house is gorgeous, the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming and the inkeeper, Karen, is extremely nice and funny. She made our whole experience awesome and Isabel made our time there even more enjoyable. The Biltmore Village Inn's staff go that "extra mile" and made my 36th birthday weekend one to always remember. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the whirlpool tub was a wonderful treat, the beds are oh so comfortable and breakfast is the best part of it all. The chef makes the most delicous breakfast to wake up to with great presentation. When you wake up the whole house smells so nice with whatever scrumptous dish they are making that morning. Great wine with assorted cheeses and fruits in the afternoon add that special touch to how fantastic this place is. My husband treated us to in room massages which were absolutely terrific. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants that five star quality with a warm and delightful atmosphere. From now on, this will be my place to stay when I visit Asheville.

We stayed for two nights. The inn is gorgeous and the rooms are really special---large and beautifully decorated. Service is quiet and excellent, they put out wine in the late afternoon, and there's always coffee, tea and light snacks available. The breakfast is sensational (but be prepared, as in all of the South, for heavy egg-and-cheesy dishes; although they will also accommodate your breakfast requests if you let them know beforehand). If the weather's good, you can eat on the fabulous wrap-around front porch. The only drawback is that I was awakened several times during the night by loud train whistles as freight trains blew by. In the morning, I mentioned this to the staff, and the very thoughtful and accommodating innkeeper left me some earplugs for our second night. I used them, put a pillow over my head, took an Ambien, and slept like a baby. But they really should install double-pane windows for the sound. We stayed in the Biltomore Suite, which is just fabulous. If train sounds don't bother you, you might not notice it, but the noise was too loud for me. As glorious as it is otherwise, I probably wouldn't stay there again unless I knew they'd installed better windows.

  • Liked — Spacious beautifully decorated rooms, good food, and accommodating staff.
  • Disliked — Train whistles during the night.

My husband and I just spent two wonderful nights at the Biltmore Village Inn in Asheville, NC. I booked the reservation through their online reservation system and also requested 'something special' for our anniversary. The next day, their staff contacted me and put together a package that was truly wonderful.

The Inn is in an ideal location as it is close to shopping and of course the Biltmore house. We had a great room (Vanderbilt) at a reasonable price and the staff is most likely the best B & B staff we have ever met.

Breakfast at the Biltmore Village Inn was fabulous. We enjoyed a gourmet breakfast each morning while sitting on the huge veranda that faced the Blue Ridge mountains. In the afternoon, the staff prepared a wonderful fruit and cheese tray that was accompanied by a nice selection of wine. Again, it was great to enjoy this while sitting outside.

We cannot say enough great things about the Biltmore Village Inn. In fact, we liked it so much, we have reserved another weekend there in September!
