We went there for our anniversary and we were beyond happy. There are so many varieties if flowers and roses. Some of the plants in the green house I had never seen or even heard of before.

The main building was closed for refurbishment. It looked they were replacing some of the bricks. They had a cute gift shop. Just a warning...there is a lot of walking. If you have someone who can't walk, you will have to hope you can find a parking spot. It is very hilly terrain and would be difficult for most older people.

After touring the Biltmore we took a long stroll around the gardens (which are gorgeous!) and then took a walk on the nature trails on the property. This is the most relaxing way to spend the day and we found the gardens and walking trails to be well maintained and beautifully planned for all ages and levels of fitness.

We spent several hours strolling through the gardens, up to the vista, and over to the pond. Take your time (and a lot of water and sunscreen) to really enjoy and experience these gardens.
