A fantastically delicious way to start the day! We were going for a bike ride and this place filled us up with good, healthy, hearty food. The bowl of house made granola was crunchy, honey coated and so fresh you could taste the "love". The strawberry banana pancakes were too good for syrup!

We loved the Early Girl Eatery - will definitely visit again on our next trip to Asheville!

The food is wonderful and the service is outstanding. No complaints at all. Loved it!

Late afternoon on a wet July 4th and we had not yet had breakfast. Went to Early Girl and was very pleased with the all-day breakfast fare. Interesting choices, fresh ingredients and great staff. The food was very good and the place felt cozy on a stormy afternoon. Only had breakfast but the lunch and dinner choices looked equally good. A lot of organic and farm to table ingredients, which I happen to love!

We went to Early Girl on the recommendation of a local, choosing it over many of the other great Asheville eateries. It failed to live up to the hype.

My wife ordered the pan-fried chicken, which the restaurant touted both on signs both outside and inside. It was so salty she couldn't eat it and she sent it back. Thinking the sauce was the culprit, she asked for it sans sauce. But it was the chicken itself. Or the batter. I tried it, too, and agreed it was almost inedible. I had an unspectacular and smallish walnut salad. One of our friends had the meatloaf and called it "ordinary." We love good biscuits but the flat, hard things they served here were anything but good.

We really wanted to like Early Girl, but it paled in comparison to Tupelo Honey, where the menu and preparation are far superior. The difference in the biscuits alone - Tupelo's are big and fluffy and delicious - are reason enough not to choose Early Girl.

My companions raved about this the entire trip! They were impressed that you can email Early Girls to get the recipe. Early Girls had a lot of variety on their menu - something unique for everyone.
