“Great for meat eaters, just Ok for vegetarians.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

Zambra has an exciting daily changing (although usually very similar) menu! We have eaten here 5-6 times in the past few months we have lived here. My husband is always eager to try new cuts of meat and Zambra always delivers. He often orders cuts such as pork belly, beef heart, etc (you get the point). I, the mostly vegetarian but occasionally pescetarian, find myself ordering the same few things every time. Yes, there are vegetable specials, but that's what they are, vegetables (AKA side dishes to go with the meat). What I do order is always very good. Great place for a date, there is live music on the weekend and the overall ambiance is sexy. Note: just visited last week and food was not up to par with what we have been served in the past, hope it was just a fluke and not a turn for the worst!

“Amazing dinner for birthday celebration!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

We recently celebrated my husbands birthday at Zambra. The service, food, staff, ambience was absolutely wonderful! There is a ton of variety on the menu, definitely something for everyone. Don't be fooled by the online menu, that is just their house menu, then they have a huge list of daily tapa specials that you will see once you get there. Halfway into our dinner, an upbeat live band began to play, adding to the experience. We finished dinner with a free dessert from the restaurant after I told them it was my husband's birthday. It was a truly wonderful experience, we were still talking about it the next day. Do yourselves a favor, make a reservation and try this place!

“Delicious food great price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2014

Great dinner at a great price. The ambiance hits you as you enter. Upbeat but laid back. A live band was playing which just added to the ambiance. Gorgeous bar and decor. We had 5 dishes between the 2 of us and all were from the special menu except the cheese plate. So many flavors to savor, each were delicious and more than we expected. If you like cheeses, try it here. We both had a cocktail and 5 plates to share and the bill was about $65. It would have been double that price for the same plates at our favorite tapas place in Philly! Worthy of the praise.

“Great food and a variety!”

It is a Tappas restaurant, so we ordered some spring rolls, a salad,
and a beef dish. Food was excellent and our server, was so helpful in helping us pick out what to eat. So tasty! you have to go there and eat! I thing our servers name was Rachel, short dark hair - she was excellent!

“Good but did not live up to hype”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

Friends highly recommend this restaurant and we finally got a reservation. We went with another couple and were seated at a table that would have been comfortable for 2, max 3 diners. Fortunately when our food was served we did not receive all 8 dishes at once as there was only room for 4 plates and I held one dish until we were able to make room. That being said the grilled shrimp, grilled radishes, roasted turnips, were very good. The mussels had been cooked to long and were tough and the beef heart was way over done to the point of being crisp. The fried tofu was also overcooked and the oil tasted old. They brought the olives that we ordered with the bill and they were almost hot...who knows how long they were sitting and where. The corkage fee is 18.00 - the highest I have ever paid My husband wants to give it another try...maybe we will if I can get a reservation.
