Description: Our Southern dishes and libations are served with a creative twist and a smile, and we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn't want on our own supper table. When we play with our food (and we think it's okay), the result is scrumptious. We're rooted in the Mountain South, and our menu is inspired by time-honored traditions: pickling and frying, canning and preserving, and utilizing seasonal produce and ingredients to prepare delicious, scratch-made creations.

We happened to come across this restaurant in Asheville looking for a place to have breakfast. We certainly were not disappointed in our choice. The portions were generous, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was really busy but we were open-minded about this because we were drop-ins and they were most accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant as it is a place I will will always go back to whenever I visit Asheville again.

The hype led us to believe this was an outstanding restaurant in the middle of Asheville. Maybe it was us, but the food was only decent and the acoustics awful. Meh...

Our family recently enjoyed a weekday lunch at Tupelo Honey. It was packed, but we only had to wait about 15 minutes. The service was warm and accommodating. Everyone found their lunches delicious, particularly my husband and his fried chicken blt. The biscuits, giant and delivered hot to your table while you waited for your food, made finishing the generous portions challenging, but not impossible.

This restaurant was listed as the 15th best in Asheville and we believe it has lived up to its rating. Not a fancy place but the staff is efficient and friendly, the food is well prepared, portions are large (so come hungry), and the prices are reasonable. Lots of interesting dishes. I had the Zippy do da pork which was excellent. Had a little kick. My wife had a cup (bowl portion) of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich (several options on the type of cheese). They also serve breakfast all day and offer a sweet potato pancake that was tempting. We sat up at the counter that over looks the cooking area. Fun place to sit with lots going on in front of you. Give the chefs a thumbs up as they apply their culinary skills. It will bring a smile to their faces.
