“Cannot understand the rave Rezaz reviews”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is a highly recommended restaurant near the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. Asheville is a solid food town, so we had high hopes. First we made reservations but had to wait for 45 minutes on a Sunday night when the restaurant was nearly empty. The salads and mezzo were good, but the main dishes lacked imagination, were poorly seasoned (and way over salted) and just plain poor. The dessert (tiramisu) was almost inedible. The service was inattentive. I just cannot understand why this place is recommended by anyone.

“Delicious, fresh food; inviting atmosphere; great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

I have visited Rezaz twice -- recently, in August 2012, and about 5 years ago. Both times were excellent. For both visits, we sit on the bar side and enjoyed an antipasti platter. The variety of items that you can get is wonderful. The cheeses are delicious. My husband liked the Ellington cheese so much that he bought some to-go. We also had the Mufalatta Panino and a thin pizza. They were yummy also! They have unique microbrews. The waiter provided great service but was not overbearing -- he knew just when to check on us. I can't wait to return to Asheville to eat at Rezaz again.

“Top Notch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

Great decor, slightly slow, but knowledgeable staff, outstanding food. Small plates are all really excellent. I had a summer white bean salad that i am still dreaming about. Rezaz mezze is a great starter too. Dinner was beef brisket for me (with oxtail arrancini and brocollini) and red snapper for my hubby. Both were fab and delish. I couldn't finish mine so took leftovers home. In a moment of weakness the next morning, i noshed on it cold and it was marvelous (even without reheating). In a city with plenty of chef competition Rezaz stood out.

“Great find in the mountains”

Casual elegance with a very eclectic mix of styles, ranging from mediteranian to contemporary. Try the shrimp and Calmari. Most unique combination of flavors
