“Great start to our visit!”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

We really enjoyed our time on our tour. We did the private version and paid for the tour, but it was definitely worth it. We had been to the Biltmore house before but had never really explored the downtown. The overview of the restaurants was so good, we didn't know which one to try at the end of the tour. The guide was very personable and he definitely has done his research. He mentioned something about discounts for future hotel stays, and I think we might take him up on that.

“What a guide!”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

So my wife and I were just in Asheville visiting from Berlin, Germany. We have been on these big walking tours in Europe before and didnt know what to expect in such a "small" American town. But I would recommend this to anyone coming to Asheville for the first time. Its a great way to get an overview of the city, along with some local attractions and insider tips. I think like me CJ is a foodie which is great because he points out the best spots in town for good food. It is an easy walk, insightful, fun, and FREE! Need I say more. This should be the first stop in Asheville, CJ will point you in the right direction.

“CJ Good Guide”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We saw an ad for this on a bulletin board so we went to Vance Square to try it out. CJ is very personable and knowledgeable. We were the only ones who showed up so we had a private tour. It isn't an in-depth tour but a good overview with good suggestions for eating places and places to get locally crafted art and other products. There are discounts associated with the tour but by the time we were through, we had forgotten which ones they were! Otherwise, we enjoyed the tour and it was certainly worth the money!!

“Great introduction to Asheville”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

I live in Asheville, but I love learning more about the city and discovering new places. This tour is a great first stop for visitors as it gives a good overview of downtown and local attractions. It is an easy walk and covers the important people and places of Asheville, currently and some history. CJ points out multiple good places to eat and fun things to do, like the drum circle, Biltmore House, ziplining, and just hanging out downtown having a beer. The tour is only an hour, and is free! I certainly learned some new places to go and discovered some new things I never knew about Asheville. http://ashevillehistoricinns.wordpress.com/2013/08/29/asheville-free-walking-tour/

“Excellent tour”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We have been in Asheville many times but this time we decided to go on the free walking tour. I wish we did this many years ago. We really never went through town we were always on the out skirts. Learned a lot and found new places to eat.
Also the history of Asheville is very interesting. Loved the tour.
